"You two look tired." Remus chuckled when he came to pick up the two of them.

"But we aren't." Arthur yawned.

"Really convincing Arty." Kelsey rolled her eyes. Besides the yawning, the two of them had bags under their eyes the size of a half moon.

"Are you guys ready to go back after Christmas?" He smiled. Kelsey nodded and Arthur nodded off. Remus chuckled tiredly and put Arthur on his back. He grabbed Kelsey's hand and apparated the three of them.

"I'm going to put him in your room. His mother packed all of his clothes and shoes in his trunk and dropped it off." Remus nodded to a trunk that was in the living room. "Did you pack yours?"

"Yeah. I have my tiny bag that I can put the other things in. If I need something, I mean." She said.

"Okay. Well you can watch the television if you want." He smiled before dropping Arthur off in Kelsey's room. The older man trudged over to his room, shutting the door behind him. Kelsey sighed and prepared for school.

The train was crowded and Arthur was extremely cranky from the lack of sleep, making it quite unpleasant for the other four when Karkat and Arthur would start arguing.

"Can you not be a git for a moment?" Karkat shot at Arthur when he complained about Kelsey not sharing her chocolate frog and poking her.

"I'm not being a git! You are the one being a git!" And the nth argument started. Kas and Kelsey sighed while Amanda and Jackson slept.

"Guys can you please stop? It's just petty nonsense at this point." Kelsey sighed. Karkat and Arthur started yelling at her though it just sounded like gibberish. Kas sighed.

He grabbed Kelsey by the arm and the two of them discussed their course of action.

AFTER a fun train ride they arrived at the school and waited for the feast to begin. Harry and Ron were talking in low voices making Kelsey suspicious. She went up behind the two and put a hand on each of their shoulders, making them jump. "Merlin Hamilton! You scared us!" Ron yelped.

"I wouldn't have done this if you guys had been pretending like you were sitting like normal people and whispering instead of hunching over and whispering. Just a friendly tip." Kelsey smiled at the boys before returning to her spot.

The feast started and ended, meaning that it was time to return to the dorms. Kelsey felt a hand on her shoulder. Arthur was leaning on her tiredly messing with her hair. "We have to go see Dumbledore." He whispered in her ear.

"Already? What did we do this time?" Kelsey asked teasingly. Fred and George caught her eye and smirked making kissy faces and thumbs up. She rolled her eyes and flashed her hair Weasly red in warning. The two ran off smirking.

"Kelsey can you carry meee?" Arthur joked. Apparently taking this as a challenge Kelsey put him on her back and Started walking. "I WAS KIDDING!" He yelped, people starring at him and her in confusion. Kelsey set him down smirking.

"Shall we go, Your Majesty?" She said bowing. Arthur rolled his eyes and pulled her along, Kelsey laughing loudly.

After about twenty minutes of calling out different candies and sweets, Arthur glared at Kelsey who was watching in amusement. "Why don't YOU try?" He huffed.

"Fine." She looked at the Statue. "Butter beer fudge." And look at that the stair case was revealed. Arthur glared at her, crossing his arms. "What?"

"You let me stand there yelling out different candy names. For almost half an hour."

"If it makes you feel better, you looked cute while you did it." She said honestly walking forward. "Come on tomato. The Headmaster is waiting."

"R-right!" Arthur said walking after her, still looking like a tomato.

"Hello Professor!" Kelsey called cheerfully sitting down on one of the plush red chairs.

"Miss Hamilton, Mister Malfoy. Glad you could make it." Albus smiled at the twelve year olds. Yes guys, these are twelve year old children. Fudgin life.

"Pleasure to be here." Arthur said mildly out of breathe.

"Well you know I won't say the same, Old man." Kelsey said ignoring the look on Arthur's face.

"As you say every time you are here." Dumbledore said nodding to her. Arthur watched this exchange in disbelief as he took a seat next to Kelsey.

"Are you sure she's Hufflepuff?" Arthur asked Dumbledore. A cackle erupted behind them.

"It took me three minutes to decide where to put THAT one. I'm quite sure she's a Hufflepuff young man." Kelsey smiled in recognition.

"Thank you Mr. Sorting Hat." She called. The sorting hat 'nodded' and went back to observing.

"You two are here because Mr. Malfoy is an avian and you're his digitalis. You have also bonded which means you will need a separate room to yourselves. The house elves have put it together. You are familiar with them, Miss Hamilton. Seeing as how you frequently converse with them." Dumbledore said, eyes twinkling.

"I'm sure it's lovely." Kelsey smiled at deep in thought.

"Where will it be?" Arthur asked, ignoring the fact that they had no idea what it looked like.

"Near the kitchens. Down the hall from the Hufflepuff common rooms."

Kelsey looked quite happy. "That means it'll be warmer. Thank Helga." She sighed. Looking at Arthur, she tilted her head in a playful almost doglike manner. "Are you going to be okay in a warmer room, Mr. Snaky Snake?"

"Pfft. I'll be fine. How are you going to do with a snake in your den?" ಠ_ಠ Guys don't you dare.

Dumbledore watched the two playfully taunt each other before interrupting their banter. "Why don't you two go to your room?"

Arthur nodded but Kelsey immediately jumped up. "Is anyone taking us?" She asked.

"Yes. Professor Burbage will be here shortly." He smiled. The two 12 year olds nodded.

"I'm gonna try something." Kelsey said, sitting down. She focused for a moment and then grabbed onto Arthur. Then she repeated the process.

Dumbledore and Arthur both looked bewildered as she did this. When professor Burbage arrived, Kelsey had finished and was frowning to herself.

"Ah professor. Would you be so kind as to take these two to their room?" Dumbledore smiled at the woman, who was observing the duo with a humorous gaze.

"Gladly. Come on you two." She smiled. Arthur grabbed Kelsey's hand and pulled her along with him, making her eyes go slightly pink.

Professor Burbage watched the two out of the corner of her eye. The girl was obviously an metamorphmangus and didn't seem to like changing her hair color to much. But her eyes seemed to follow her emotions, something that would make it hard for her to blend in among muggles.

The boy didn't look too unordinary, but she had been told that he was an avian. She hadn't met an avian before and was quite surprised that he didn't have a beak or even wings protruding from his back.

The girl was his mate of sorts and would have to bond with him to keep both of them alive. It's tragic really, thought the Professor. She's got no choice but to be stuck with him for the rest of her life. Even if she despised him. Though from the looks of it, the girl was content with being stuck with the boy.

"We're here!" The professor smiled at the two, who were debating about candy.

"Thank you!" Kelsey smiled and Arthur nodded observing the portrait. It was of a dragon and a wizard sitting side by side chatting in dragon tongue. Kelsey made a few hisses and clicking noises making the dragon and wizard look at her in surprise. The three were chatting up a storm making the Professor and Arthur look bewildered.

"Kelsey you'll have plenty of time to chat with them on the weekends. It's kind of late and we have classes tomorrow." Arthur said calmly. Kelsey made a few more clicks and hisses as a sort of farewell before turning to Arthur.

"You're just jealous because I know what Garret is saying." Kelsey shrugged. Arthur raised an eyebrow. Which one was Garret?
