After a fun lesson on why wizards can't solve world hunger, Kelsey waved goodbye to Arthur. "Are you sure you're fine with me hanging out with my other friends?" He asked searching her eyes for hidden emotions.

"Arthur, I can't expect you to hang out with me all the time. Go and have fun! We're going for a run anyways." Kelsey reassured him, giving him a peck on the cheek and a smile. Karkat rolled his eyes and pulled Kelsey along towards the meeting spot.

Kas was perched on a tree waiting for them patiently, preening his pretty feathers. A bark led him to look down at his dog and fox companions.

They raced through the trees and only one thought was present in Kelsey's head. Scratch that, there was two. 'I wonder if they'll have donuts tomorrow?' and 'I'm glad that this is my life.'
