Dad eventually came back, but it was just to get the rest of everything. I was alone in an empty house. The only company I had now was Lily and the occasional retailers agents and her buyers. No one wanted a 'haunted' house. I missed Dad, he took care of me and loved me for so long. I was crying when he finally moved out. I never told Lily about Dad leaving, as far as she knew I was living alone somewhere. I started walking her to school and following her around. Anytime I could I would teach those bullies a lesson for picking on someone. Lily started acting like she had powers if she witnessed any bullies and I would be the one who was her power. It was starting to get fun. I was getting used to being around Lily.
"Well well well," It was Garage sale girl, her name was Roxie, "If it isn't the colorless and boring outfit girl, "What was you name? It was a flower wasn't it. Could it be Rafflesia, just like rotten flesh."
"Will you let that go. I fell back near a trashcan once and you're still holding onto it," Lily looked annoyed.
"Oh please I'm not the one who has no style," Roxie said.
"And I'm not the one who has to put so many pads in her bra just to look like I have a c cup," Lily winked at me.
I lifted the bottom of Roxie's bra without removing her shirt, sure enough lots of padding fell out.
"You're such a bitch!" Roxie grabbed the padding and left.
"Thanks," Lily said.
"No problem," I replied, At least she wasn't surrounded by people.
"Hey Maxie," Lily caught my attention, "Where are you staying?"
"Oh, no where I guess," I said.
"You wanna stay with me?" Lily asked.
"I-isn't it kinda soon for that..." I knew there was no point in arguing but I didn't want to leave my home, "We've only really been going out for a month or two."
"Why not," Lily won this argument, "Couples who know each other's natural living style and accept them completely last longer so why not."
"I'll stay over for a few nights, okay?" I said, maybe a new place to hang out won't be so bad.
After school I went home on the subway with Lily. Her house was a while away. Our school isn't very high in academics. it doesn't even have clubs. What made her chose that school anyway? I wondered. Lily had a huge smile on her face when we were riding the subway. Then again she always had a smile on her face. She mostly wore black but it suited her. Her tight black t-shirt fit nicely with her black and gray leggings. Her navy blue leather boots and black star hoodie made her seem like the bright person she is. Her house on the other hand was bright and colorful. It looked like a rainbow threw up on it. Luckily the inside was mostly peach and white. It did have a few painting on the walls for decoration.
"Welcome to my home," Lily said as she guided me around the house. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one closet, and a merged kitchen and living room. Lily had her room with a painting of a blue and violet Lily on her gray walls.
"You're family must love bright colors," I said.
"Oh yeah they do," In fact my older sister painted almost everything in this house. She's a great artist," Lily tossed her green backpack to the side, "I like them just not on me. They clash with my pale skin."
"I don't think so, but the way you dress is nice," I said.
"Maxie," Lily's checks were pink, "Such flattery. I'm gonna make myself a snack. You want anything?"
"Uh..it would be a waste on me, you go a head and eat. I'll wait for you here," I sat on her bed and waited for her.
It felt a little awkward being there. She did her home work and played shows for us to watch. I didn't really mind to much, but I felt a little out of place. Around seven she went to take a bath and said I could explore the house. It was a small but nice house. Her sister came home, did her home work, changed and went to relax on the couch.
"Maxie could you come here for a second," Lily called me from the bathroom.
"Yeah," I walked in without looking, "What is it?"
"I forgot my towel," Lily said, "Could you hand me one?"
"S-sure no problem," I passed her a towel, She kinda forgetful. It's kinda cute.
"Maxie, What do you think of my jamies?"Lily asked.
"T-they're nice," I told her, Gray sweat shorts and a black t-shirt, I should have expected that.
We went back to Lily's room and just hung out for the rest of the night.
