"Oh my, she must have been tired," I heard someone say.
I woke up with Lily sitting next to me. Her mother was looking around the room.
"Maxie, are you alright? You sort of just left," Lily asked.
"I just felt a little out of place that's all," I stretched.
"Oh," Lily looked at her mother.
"Maxie do you mind if I take a look at your body for a moment," Her mother asked, "Nothing unusual I just need to check something.
"Um...," I felt anxious, "Well."
She came up close and stared into my eye. She looked at my arms and legs without touching me.
"How long have you been dead for?" She asked.
"About two months now I think," I said.
"This is unusual," She said.
"What is?" Lily asked.
"Max have you heard of the term yōkai?" She asked me.
"Aren't those Japanese monsters?" I said.
"Their demons and supernatural creatures," Lily corrected me.
"You seem to be developing into a yōkai yourself Max," She backed away, " You'll be solid and able live you undead life as a demon in hiding. Just be sure to stay away from shrines and churches. How fun. My Lily has a demon girlfriend."
"A demon..," I sat back down.
"Alright well first thing is first, Max I'll need yo know what sizes you are to get you some clothes," She said, "Oh and since you'll be staying as my daughters beloved girlfriend don't be shy to call me mom."
"Y-yes," I let myself fall back on the bed after she left.
"This is fun isn't it," Lily laid next to me, "You could become amazingly powerful. Ant you might look really cool or beautiful, more than you already are."
I blushed and turned my head, "You're just saying that."
"Only cause it's true," Lily hugged me.
"So what now," I said, "What do you wanna do?"
"Let's just stay here for a while," Lily nuzzled herself into my chest as I turned around, "It's relaxing."
