"Maxien?" I heard a voice behind me,"I thought you were dead?"
He can see me? I wasn't sure how to reply. My palms got sweaty and I felt anxious.
"What are you?" He came closer.
"Time to go," I picked up Lily in my arms and ran off making sure he didn't follow. I ran with Lily in my arms and her crutches in my left hand. I ran all the way back to her place where I put her down on the couch.
"Maxie are you alright?" Lily asked as I sat down and caught my breath.
"Y-yeah..." I spoke between pants, "I'm just... not... that athlet..ic."
"I'll get you some water," Lily said.
"N-no..." I said, "It's... it's fine... I don't need... any water."
"Are you sure?" Lily brushed my hair back.
"Y-yeah... I'm sure," I replied.
"Alright then," Lily rested he head next to mine.
Once I caught my breath I helped Lily study for a math exam and later she took a bath.
"Maxie the bath is all yours," Lily called once she was done changing.
"Alright," I called back.
Man I ran off so fast I don't even know who it was that saw me. What am I gonna do? H e recognized me, I dunked my head under water, I hold my breath longer now, ugh I shouldn't be thinking about that, I came back up for air, Who was that? Why did they have to recognize me? I'll have to come up with an excuse. Coma? No. Truth is out of the question.
"Man~ I have no idea how to solve this," I hung my head over the edge of the tub.
I got out of the bath, changed and went back to Lily's room where she'd fallen asleep while doing her homework. I picked her up and laid her in bed covering her with a blanket. I sat at the edge of her bed and leaned against the wall. I watched her sleep peacefully and fell asleep myself.
