I followed Lily to school the next day wearing a hat to cover my face and covered my missing eye with my hair. I waited for her outside of her classroom. I decided to be more careful about how much of my face I showed. I never thought I would be recognized. I waited on the roof instead today. I waited in the shade under the solar panels. I heard someone else come up and I hid behind the drums that were there. The same boy from before was there with large bag in his hand.

"It must have been an illusion, right?" He said, "No one can be resurrected from the dead."

I managed to sneak away and laid in a tree in the small field outside of the school, right above where Lily had lunch every day. She sat down and I dropped a leave on her shoulder, she looked up and we smiled at each other. I had fallen for that smile of hers. I loved to see her so happy, and I felt guilty when ever she's sad. Lily, how on earth did you convince me that day? I remember, I felt concern for you so I played along, and yet I wound up falling for you anyway.

"Hey can I ask you something?" The boy from before showed up.

"S-Sure," I could tell Lily was worried, I felt anxious as well.

"Is Max actually alive?" He asked.

"No, she's dead. Why do you ask?" Lily was acting perfectly calm.

"So that girl I saw you with, is she Max's twin sister?"

"What girl?" Lily pretended not to know anything.

"So she's a ghost then," He said, He reached into his pocket and pulled something out, "Take this. It's a charm to repeal evil spirits."

"No thanks," Lily refused, "There are no evil spirits."

"I insist you take it, Max is haunting you," He said.

"How dare you just assume that!" Lily snapped, "You see a ghost, okay so what. You don't know if their evil or not so why are you just assuming so. A demon oh no. How do you know that demon isn't just trying to live there lives as a normal person. You are not but a follower of stereotypes."

"Excuse me? My father works at a shrine," He had picked a fight with Lily, "If anyone knows about spirits and demons it's me."

"Just because that's what's told doesn't mean it's true. Maybe you should do your research first," Lily packed up her lunch.

"What, well, how would you know!" He lost this fight.

"I think you should leave," Lily answered.

"Fine, but I'm not going because you told me to," He whined as he left us alone at last.

"I'm glad he's finally gone," Lily unpacked another lunch box, "Maxie come eat."

"Alright," I came down and sat next to her.

"Why is it that since that boy say you yesterday he can't just leave us be," Lily said as she ate.

"I don't even know who he is," I took a bite of the sandwich Lily handed me, "Next time I'll help get rid of him, I'm the reason he keeps bugging you."

"You don't need to help, and don't go thinking this is you fault either. He's just annoying," Lily said.

"Alright," I replied, she's still as stubborn as ever.
