"Sometimes I feel like giving up but then I remember that I have a lot of motherfuckers to prove wrong"
----------------------------------------------"I love you"
I froze.
I was close to drifting asleep while Shane was holding me.
When ever so faintly.
"I love you"
I just laid there with my eyes closed.
Shane...
His eyes
His hair
His personalityDo I say it back?
I've been pushing it down.
My feelings towards Shane kept increasing.
I didn't know what to do.
There was no way I was gonna screw up our friendship.
So I hid the feelings.
All I did was snuggle closer to his chest.
And after a minute I softly mumbled
"I love you too"
He froze his hand stopped rubbing my back.
"Y-you heard that?" He said stuttering.
I looked up at the nervous worried look on his face.
I gave him a smile.
His expression melted away to calm.
"Well why wouldn't I?" I said with a laugh.
Stupid stupid...
What was I going to do I couldn't confess my feelings toward him?!
What if he meant as just friends.
"We've been pals for so long" I said with a nervous laugh.
Fuck what was I doing?!
I closed my eyes after he didn't say anything back.
And finally I fell asleep in the arms of the man who I was falling for.
The next morning when I awoke I was curled up next to Shane.
My heart warmed and butterflies swarmed my stomach.
Shane lazily opened his eyes.
"Morning" he mumbled and then face planted back into the pillow.
He wasn't a morning person.
We eventually got up and made breakfast everyone else was gone from his house.
So it was just me and him laughing and talking.
But whenever everything seems right there's a storm waiting to cause chaos.
And that storm was the girl who strolled up to Shane's house that day.
The one who sunk my heart.
And drove me right back to being a hateful bitch.
So while we were lounging on the couch talking and laughing.
A doorbell came ringing through the house.
Shane got up to answer it.
And there she stood the baddest bitch of them all.
Alana Decker
Does that name not sound familiar?
It probably means nothing to you.
But that name was enough to set me off.
And as soon as I saw her face and watch her kiss Shane on the lips.
I was out the door and I never looked back.
