"She is a lady in every sense but damn does she look good in bad"
—————————————————————————
Shane and me walked out of the school.I looked back once, just to see if Jasper even bothered to care.
To see if I was ok.
And my heart broke to find that he didn't even care to apologize.
Instead he stood at his locker acting like nothing happened.
Like there wasn't a care in the world.
3 years and I didn't even get an I'm sorry.
I once knew someone.
Caring
Sweet
Badass
Hilarious
And most of all
Loving
And now I don't even know who that person is anymore.
He's gone.
From the worlds view.
He only lives in my memories.
As who he used to be.
I turned around and never looked back.
"Noooooooo" I said pouting.
Me and Shane were arguing over what movie to watch while we were seated on his couch.
I had a blanket over my legs while he stood in front of me holding a movie in his hands.
"What about this one?" He asked
"Nope." I said back"This?"
"Nope"
"This?"
"Nah"
"This?""MEAN GIRLS!" I said jumping up from the couch and grabbing it.
"Fine fine whatever." He said an amused smile playing on his lips.
I sat back down while he put it playing.
By now it was dark so we shut off the lights.
Shane sat down next to me grabbing a part of the blanket, and throwing it over his legs.
I smiled.
I felt relaxed.
Like the incident early never happened.
I kept feeling like I was waiting for everything to go back to normal.
That these past few months were all just a dream.
And now just being with Shane I felt like I finally woke up.
I smiled again when he started to chuckle at a few of the jokes.
"You like it don't you?" I said teasing him.
"Pshhhh do not." He said
"Do too" I chuckled.
He kept his mouth shut with only a smile on his lips.
I looked at his face.
Every detail only to be seen through the light of the tv.
His eyes focused on the tv as he watched with amusement.
He began to laugh showing off his dimples and white teeth.
Lucky bastard was born with perfect teeth.
Sure he wasn't super buff.
Lifting weights wasn't on his agenda everyday.
Instead he lived
He wasn't curled up at the gym working on his muscles.
He wasn't at practice everyday running drills.
No he was hiking to the top of a mountain.
Or reading a book on his swing.
Or just watching the clouds or stars.
That boy didn't need anything to make him happy.
He got high off of just plain old living.
I began to feel tired so I rested my head on his shoulder.
I heard him sigh
He was warm.
He always was.
I snuggled closer to him.
He then wrapped an arm around me.
I always felt safe with Shane.
Like nothing could get through him.
He would protect me from anything.
And now knowing that I was protected
Made me happy.
To know that finally I could put down my guard.
And let the broken girl inside out.
Shane brought the real me out.
The girl that the world can't see.
Only Shane.
Only him.
