"Some people fear the fire, others simply become it"
————————————————————
Shane's Point of view

Now the thing is that I never meant to hurt Amber.

I never wanted to see her shed a tear after what happened with Jasper.

I didn't remember who Alana was when I first met her.

Me and Alana met a couple months back and we connected in a non emotional way...

We had a fling it was short lived.

I didn't expect her to show up on my door that morning or ever really.

To be honest I had forgotten about Alana and our fling.

Now Amber is different than Alana.

Amber is a girl I had been in love with since I can remember.

Probably since I first laid eyes on her when we were 4.

Then her and Jasper started dating and those dreams were crushed.

No matter how many girls I dated I couldn't forget how much I loved her.

Nobody could compare to Amber.

Then Jasper broke her heart into two.

And as selfish as it sounds those dreams were restored.

I had another chance to be with the girl I love.

So I began to pick up the pieces of her heart.

And carefully tried to put her heart back together.

The night I had followed her to the fight I knew I was close to fixing her heart.

But if course Alana had showed up that morning so I was confused and so was she.

But then she let me go.

I had know Amber my whole life I knew exactly what she was doing.

She was pushing me away.

I didn't know why she was.

That's what hurt the most is that she was pushing me out of her life.

So I shook it off and pretended that I didn't care.

She didn't seem to care.

So with Alana on my arm I walked down the hall each day my heart ached more.

Then one day when I was finally able to shake Alana off my arm I was walking down the hall when I heard something.

It sounded like something hitting a Locker.

So I walked in the direction of the noise.

There was Amber holding Jasper up against a locker.

"Why do I care" I heard her voice barely a whisper.

"WHY DO I CARE!" She shouted louder.

She started crying tears pouring down her face while she shouted at him.

He looked shocked and confused.

She yelled with tears running down her face.

She let go of his collar whispering something.

She turned to me.

More tears spilling out of her eyes.

I stood motionless.

She walked towards me.

Never taking her eyes off of mine.

She stopped right next to me and leaned in.

She breathed in one shaky breath.

Then she whispered ever so softly.

"I care too much about you"

I stood rooted in my spot for minute.

Jasper didn't move either.

I narrowed my eyes.

I stared him up and down.

He didn't do anything but stand there.

So I took off after Amber.

At a fast pace I raced out the front doors.

Just in time to see Amber zipping off on her bike.

I ran I hand through my hair.

I let out a sigh and began jogging over to my bike.

"Shaneeee" I heard a high-pitched voice say.

I didn't even look to see who it was.

I began jogging faster to my bike.

I let out a sigh of relief when I saw that she stayed put, and didn't follow me.

Alana was always just a distraction as cruel as that is she deserved it for some of the things she did to Amber.

It was time to fix everything.

I just hoped that I could get to Amber before she did something crazy.

Whenever she was like this she could get destructive.

This time was gonna be different though.

I was going to catch her before she went all she-devil.

So I jumped onto my bike and rode off.

Going after the girl I loved and leaving behind the one that loved me.
