"What should we do today?" Trevor asks me. I shrug and look around. We were standing right outside my house, recieving a few weird stares as people drove past. "Well, we can walk to the park from here..." he starts. I stare off into the distance, making my eyes travel as far away as they could. Trevor waved a hand in front of my eyes, trying to bring me back. I jumped, almost falling over.
"I guess." I say to him. Trevor smiled and pulled on the rope, forcing me closer to him. He wrapped Hus arm around my shoulder and hugged tighter to him.
"Let's go then" he says.
We walked to the park, and saw a group of guys from our school that we know. Trevor began to panic as soon as he saw them.
"We have to go. C'mon, Andraya. There's nothing to do here anyway." He grabbed my elbow and started tugging me away.
I stop right in my tracks. "Why? it was your idea to come here." I folded my arms across my chest, telling him I was not moving anywhere, any time soon. Trevor sighed, and slouched. He looked at the sidewalk and slapped his foredead.
"Fine," he said. "Wanna grab some ice cream then?" He asks. I shake my head no.
"Nah, I'm on a diet." I tell him. Trevor looked disappointed, and started walking towards the chalet. I follow him, happy that he knows what it feels like to be humiliiated. He sits at a table, and folds his arms across his stomach, making it obvious he's self concious.
I laugh and say, "Welcome to Girl World, Trevor."
