I woke up to someone shuffling around my room. I sit up and find my sister in the room, sifting through the papers on my desk.
"What are you doing?" I ask. She jumps and spins around. She runs out of the room and slams the door shut. She must've been searching for her birthday gift. It is almost here. I roll my eyes and get out of bed. Today will be hell.

As soon as I walked in the door, principal Schultz grabbed my shoulder gently and began guiding me to her office. I just follow and not make a scene. That was embarrassing, what happened yesterday.
When we got to her office, Trevor was seated in on of the two chairs in front of Mrs. Schultz desk. Mrs. Schultz points to a chair, and takes her seat behind her desk.
"So," she begins. "People tell me that you two have a mini war going on, huh?" I stare at the ground and Trevor sighs. "I want it done. I'm going to call your parents and see what they think we should do about it, rather than punish you through the school." Crap. My mom was gonna get pissed, and when she's pissed, you can't change her mind about anything. While Mrs. Schultz was talking on the phone, Trevor tapped the top of my foot lightly with his. I looked over at him, and gave him a scowl that showed that I have absolutely nothing to say to him. He smiled that beautiful smile of his and looked at the ceiling.
Wait.
I just called his smile beautiful. WHAT IS HAPPENING? I pinch my arm extra hard to keep me from thinking any more about him.
"Your parents agreed that you should have a bonding exercise done. They said that you will be tied together for 24 hours. You will speak to each other, and you will get over whatever this is. Understood?" We both nodded and silently cussed at each other.
Mrs. Schultz leaves to get a rope, and we're alone.
"Finally, she left." Trevor sighs. I roll my eyes, and keep quiet. "Ya know," he starts. "I only did that crap 'cause I like you." My whole body stiffens.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't listening. Because I absolutely hate your guts. If you liked me, why were you being a dick?" I snap. Of course, he doesn't act like I yelled at him. He just laughs, as usual.
"Because, I have this weird thing where I don't want my crush to know I like them. You know what I'm talking about?" he says sarcastically. I press my lips in a thin white line, and glare at him. More laughter.
"What's your problem? I'll yell at you, and you think its funny! I hate that about you." He began to smile, then forced a straight face, but was unable to hold it.
"Because angry you is cute. I think its really funny." I growl under my breath and he burst into laughter. He almost fell out of his chair laughing. Just then Mrs. Schultz walked back in the room.
"What's so funny, Mr. Moran?" she says.
"Nothing, ma'am" he whispers back. I bite my lower lip to keep from yelling at him again, and causing more laughter. Mrs. Schultz pulls out a bright red rope and hands one end to each of us. I very hesitantly tie it around my waist. Trevor does the same. I sigh, and stand, tightening the rope between us. I already hate this.
