Bea's POV

"You better hurry up, Georgia, or we're gonna leave without you!" Elliot shouts from the doorway where my mom and I stood with him waiting. We were all going out to the grocery store to get food for tonight's dinner. And if I was being completely honest, I had never been more excited about anything. Actually, releasing my album was probably more exciting than this, but this is definitely a close second.

"I'm coming! I'm coming!" Georgia yells running down the stairs and stopping right in front of us. "Ready!" she confirms opening the door and running out to the car before us. Elliot and I look at each other and roll our eyes at our sister's quirky attitude, following after her. Once everyone had got in and buckled their seatbelts, my mom driving, me in the passage seat, and Elliot and Georgia in the back, we headed to the local grocery store around the corner.

"Why are we all going, again?" Elliot asks, crossing his arms in annoyance.

"Because you love me and you're going to be a part of this whether you like it or not," I threaten, trying to sound serious and scary. This dinner was possibly the most important thing to me as of now. I wasn't going to let Elliot and Georgia's childish and rude humorous behavior ruin it.

"Do we have to dress up?" Georgia asks in a whiney tone. I roll my eyes before answering.

"No, it's casual but nice--"

"OH! Can I--"

"No, Elliot! You can not wear your meme t-shirt!" I yell, having one too many flashbacks of him asking that same question multiple times. I hear him huff angrily and look out the window at the scenery. "But, if you really want, you can wear that pepe bow tie Grandma got you for Christmas last year." Through the rear view mirror, I saw a small smile on his face. Sure, my siblings and I fought a lot, but like any family, we still loved each other unconditionally.

"Bea?" my mom's voice shouts from the end of the aisle. "Help me out here! What does Jamie like to eat?" I look up from the box of cereal I was inspecting and set it back on the shelf. I shrugged my shoulders at her, pulling out my phone and texting Jamie.

To: Jamie Barenmat

hey! what kind of foods do you like?

I walk around the store waiting for a reply while I look at the ingredients on a specific cereal box, immediately regretting the idea when I notice the amount of sugar and shit in one serving of cereal. I feel a buzzing in my pocket and pull out my phone.

From: Jamie Barenmat

Um...basically anything you give me I'll eat except Mexican and Chinese food. I don't like those

My eyes widen at the text message. How could you not like Mexican or Chinese food? What a sad life Jamie was living.

"Who ya texting?!" a voice shouts directly into my right ear, making a few people turn their heads at the sudden shout. I cover my ear and turn to see Georgia standing behind me with an innocent smile on her face.

"Georgia!" I whisper annoyingly. "Quiet down! And it's no one."

Elliot walks over towards where we're standing and scoffs at my answer.

"Bea, come on! You--"

He was interrupted by a faint vibrating sound. I quickly turn away from them and take out my phone trying to read the text Jamie had just sent me.
