Today is another day off from work, and Koi immediately went out to go to that Bunny Cafe he heard about from school a few days ago, even though they, meaning Hajime, have a pet rabbit back at the apartment complex.

Once he was inside he was greeted by a waitress with (H/C) hair and (E/C) eyes, she lead him to an empty table while he eyed the new sight, when he sat down she excused herself and went to attend to a couple that just entered the store as well.

He look at the menu she had place beforehand and admired the cutesy design of the menu, matching the cafe's vibe, and decided on a strawberry shortcake and coffee.

Then the waitress came back as expected and wrote down his order and before she left she pointed at the pet playpen to the "bunny area" as she called it.

He stood up and walked towards the side of the playpen and aww'd at the sight of the bunnies hopping around the area, he counted twelve are inside, a white bunny with beige spots hops over to him and snuggled in his outstretched hand.

"His name's Marshal by the way." He turn to see the person who spoke and it was his waitress carrying a tray with his order, or he assumed it was, and he backed away from the pet playpen and stood up "Did I keep you waiting?" She shook her head and set the tray down on his table before fetching Marshal and placed him on the table across him "Enjoy your meal, sir." Before leaving.

He quite enjoyed his afternoon petting Marshal while eating the strawberry cake, then he was called back to the apartment complex by Kakeru, saying something came up, and he frowned and he petted Marshal one last time before returning him to the pet playpen.

He paid for his meal and left the cafe, noting to himself that he should definitely come back, before making his way back to the apartment complex.

It's been a few days, and he often came back to the cafe after being released from the studio, he would often get the same waitress serving him, since this cafe has a handful of servers, and he often dined with the bunny from his first visit, Marshal.

Visit after visit, the waitress, who finally introduced herself as (Y/N), opened up to him and they became friends, they would even meet up, out of work, in the nearby park to just hang out.

Today was one of those days. And today was the day he was going to ask her out formally.

"Today is the day, do not mess this up!" He muttered to himself, as the two walked down the cobblestone path.

"Koi-kun, who are you talking to?" (Y/N) turned to him in curiosity, amusement evident in her eyes.

"Huh? N-nobody, j-just talking to myself, hehe.." he sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck.

"Whatever you say, Usagi-kun." She ruffled his pink hair before running ahead, she didn't notice the blush that appeared on his face when she called him that affectionate nickname she had given him.

"H-hey, wait up!" He stumbled before running to catch up with her, man is he out of shape from those sweets.

"Catch me if you can, usagi-kun!" Her teasing tone made him determined to catch up to her, but ending up stumbling forward and pulling her down with him.

"Ouch...(Y/N), are you okay!?" He panicked as he looked down on her face, just a few inches away from his.

"Yeah, but you need to lay off those sweets. You're kinda heavy..." She huffed, he rolled to the side and his back hit the soft green grass.

And now they're just watching the cloud, making up imaginary figures using the cloud formations.

"Hey (Y/N)..." He turned to her.

"Hm?" She turned her body to face him.

He nervously traced circles on the ground "I was wondering if you have anything planned this Friday."

She hummed while plucking a buttercup from the grass "Not that I'm aware of. Why you ask?"

'Here goes everything.'

"Oh nothing. I was just thinking that you maybe want to, though you don't have to agree, go on a date with me Friday evening."

"A-as I said, y-you don't have to agree if you don't want to, I can understand that and I'm not even sure if you're dating anyone and, oh gosh, are you dating someone? I am so sorry if you are, I was an idiot, please don't hate me!"

"Sure, I'll go out with you, Kisuragi Koi."

"R-really?" He paused his rambling and just stared at her in surprise.

"Yeah, I was surprise at first, because it took you a while, but I'm happy to go out with you on Friday. That is if you still want to..." she trailed off, while sitting up.

"I do, believe me." He sat up and looked at her with a determined face.

"Alright then, it's settled. You, me, and a candle lit dinner." She pulled him up and the two walked out of the park and bidding each other farewell.

' Now. What excuse should I make this Friday.' The two thought to themselves on how to excuse themselves from work.
