"Freak!"

"Serve you right you hideous freak!"

"Eww...get away from me you ugly peasant!"

You bit your lower lips in order to prevent the whimpers that threatened to escape your lips.

It was the same thing everyday.

It was like a horrid cycle of life.

They would not stop insulting you and being disgust with just a mere glance at you. Whether it at school or in the bus.

And just like the other day and the day before, they kept pushing you like a rag doll in the bus.

When the bus when to halt, the sudden force sent you propelled forward and fell on your knees. The kids started laughing and one of them kick your back, sending you rolled down the steps to the ground.

"Get out loser!" They laughed.

Their laughter kept ringing in your head even though the bus had no longer visible in your sight.

With a limp, you headed toward your small dingy house. It may look like a barn but it still home. You swallowed the bile in your throat and wiped away the tears. You won't let your little problem burdened your father even more.

"Dad, I'm home!" It was a futile attempt but it was a habit for you to call out for your father.

You put your schoolbag slowly at the corner before went searching for your father.

When you entered the sitting room, you saw your father sitting at the his usually place, just beside the window. The corner of your lips quirked up a bit. You tapped his knee to announce your return.

His glazed and unseeing eyes turned to you as he smiled and spoke softly,

"You're back little snow?"

His voice was no more than a whisper. Afraid that he might spoken too loud.

"How was school?" His right hand blindly reached your face and gently traced your features.

Your lips trembled when you took his other hand and face his palm upwards. You moved your index finger and sign.

'School was fine. I had fun today.'

Lie.

"Is that so? I'm glad you're enjoying it (Y/N)." He pat your head.

Sorrow filled your heart. It pained you so to see him like this. Your father, Loki Odinson was a brilliant man. A man who live to the fullest. But now...now he had nothing but you.

A tragedy that turned your life forever.

There was fire.

Everywhere.

It robbed your father his sight and hearing. His spine was snapped into two when the wooden beam fell on top of him.

It was all your fault.

If you had notice that there was fire, if you had ran instead of wailing for your father to save you, your father won't be like this.

You resisted a flinch when your father touched the right side of your face.

"Is my beautiful snow hungry? I bet you haven't eaten yet." He asked you.

Beautiful. The word sound hollow to you. You are not beautiful. You just a hideous, monstrous freak with scars on her face and her neck. Your right eye almost lost it ability to see.
You were glad that the scars were now smooth. So that your father won't know they were there.

'I have eaten at the cafeteria dad. What about you? Let fix you lunch shall we?' Another lie.

You had no more money left to spend away. Your father had sold everything he had in possession to keep both of you alive. You need to control your level of food consumption so that your father can eat. Even thought he insisted that you needed it more than him.

You secretly work at the nearby cafe, washing the dishes. The pay was not much but it was something. Sometimes you can have the leftover for you and your dad to eat. And today, was no different.

Lying is your full-time occupation now. You knew that your father hate people lying to him, taking pity on him but you had to. You need to keep your father happy. He's all you had and you need not to burden him with your trivialities.

You will do whatever it takes to keep your father happy. At any cost.

You hugged your father and wheeled him to the kitchen.

The world may be cruel and always tried to make you bow but you will never give up.

For your father, you rather throw everything away to keep him in the safe side.

A life full of bliss.

'I love you Daddy, always.' You kissed the crown of his head.

He chuckled and kissed your hand. "And I my little snow. Always."

Whatever it takes.
