Everything was dark. I could hear my heartbeat in my ears, my breathing seemed so loud. I needed to be quiet. I tried to stop the sniffling of my nose but the tears just welled in my eyes. My fingers were clasping over the warmness of my blood seeping through my sleeve.

"Andy," he breathed, his footsteps getting louder. I tried not to move.

"I know you're in here,"

"I can here you breathing," I squinted my eyes, hoping he wouldn't find me in here.

"When I find you Andy, I'm going to show you how much I hate you,"

"You are a disgrace," I accidentally let a cry leave my lips. I opened my eyes when the floorboard was lifted from under my bed.

"There you are," he laughed, tackling me and throwing me out of the floor. I cried, trying to kick him away. He grabbed the knife with his hand and scratched my other arm.

"Stop!" I screamed, feeling him trace the knife deeply up the length of my arm.

"This is what you get for being a dyke,"

I flinched suddenly at the sound of a fork hitting the table. I looked down and realised I'd dropped my fork. My hands were shaking slightly and I was sweating a little. I tried to calm my breathing, rolling up my jacket sleeve to find the start of the scar he left. I wish Danni would see the person that he really is.

"You're not from around here," a voice spoke. I looked up and found a girl sitting in front of me. She had her auburn hair tied into a little bun to show off her undercut. Her eyes were a unique light violet grey, her face was sharp and denied.

"I am actually,"

"I've never seen you here before," she replied, throwing an apron on the table.

"I left when I was 14,"

"But you came back? I'd do anything to leave this place,"

"I have things to settle," I replied simply. Her eyes questioned me.

"How about I buy you a coffee and you tell me what made you come back?" I smirked at her, noticing her confidence.

"I'll consider,"

"This isn't a negotiation," she laughed, standing up.

"Well it better be a good coffee,"

"It'll be the best one you've ever had," she smirked, swaying her hips as she walked back behind the counter. She was hot. She was sexy. She defiantly caught my attention. I turned my gaze to her and watched as she operated the coffee machine like it was second nature to her. I naturally licked my lips when she turned and winked at me. I let my gaze fall out the window to see Danni and my pathetic brother walking down the street. Why would she be with him still after what happened? She is such an idiot!

"You get angered easily," the girl laughed, placing the coffee in front of me.

"Thanks," I replied, holding the cup in my hands.

"Don't like Beatrice huh?"

"Nope,"

"Neither do I, he seems like an ass,"

"Whys that?" I asked, getting interested in the auburn girl.

"Well for starters he sleeps around, a lot, and I heard somewhere he has a sister but she left because she was jealous of him," I felt my hands instantly tighten in the cup.

"Wait a sec," I looked into her eyes.

"You're the sister aren't you?"

"How'd you guess?"
