"This time you won't wake up," I watched as she tried to wiggle out of the chains.
"I did it extra tight so you couldn't get out,"
"Don't fucking do this Beatrice," she breathed, looking me in the eye.
"And why not?" I asked, standing face to face with her,"
"Because mum's suspicious and if you do this, she'll know somethings wrong with you," I grabbed her by the throat.
"What?"
"She talked to me at the cafe and said she thinks somethings wrong with you that's what," she choked, venom in her voice.
"There's nothing wrong with me," I argued.
"Sure about that?" With that, I sent a punch across her jaw. I watched as blood splattered against the floor.
"You think nothing's wrong with you? Look at you Beatrice! What the fuck happened to the three or four year old you? When you were actually the best brother I could've asked for?" Something in my mind ticked.
"Hey sissy, come here," I called, waiting for Andy. She came running down the stairs, wearing her pink ballet dress.
"I like your costume!" She cheered, looking at my spider-man costume.
"I like yours too!" I beamed, watching her do a turn.
"Can I have a go?" I asked, playing with her dress.
"But mummy said it's mine Beatrice,"
"Pwease, I won't break it,"
"But it's mine," I felt the tears well in my eyes.
"Pwease don't cry Bee Bee," she whispered, squatting with me on the floor.
"I just want to be like you," I cried, wiping my tears with my shirt.
"Like me?" She asked, a smile on her face. I nodded my head.
"I will let you wear it on once condition,"
"Anything!"
"I get to wear your spider-man costume,"
"Deal," I clapped. She quickly got out of her dress and I my costume. We exchanged costumes.
"You look funny," Andy giggled.
"I can dance now," I laughed, dancing around the living room. Andy joined me, running and jumping in my costume.
"I love you Andy," I smiled while hugging her.
"I love you Beatrice," she giggled.
"That was a long time ago," I replied, my voice weaker than usual.
"Doesn't mean we can't go back to that,"
"Are you that stupid?" I laughed, running my hands through my hair.
"What changed Beatrice?" She asked, blood seeping out of her moth. I didn't know. But I couldn't let her break me. I sent fist after fist across her face. Remembering the pain she has caused me these past months. I hit her stomach harder and harder, causing her breath to leave her mouth. She took Danni from me. She took football away from me. She took everything from me.
"Beatrice please," she breathed, her voice weak.
"You ruined my life," I panted, seeing blood over my knuckles.
"Like you didn't ruin mine by torturing and hitting me every single day?"
"Because you took everything from me,""I took nothing from you Beatrice, you're just sick in the head,"
"If anyone's sick it's you for being a fucking dyke!"
"Is this what is abut? Me being gay? Seriously?"
"It isn't about that! Why did you even fucking come back?! No one fucking loves you Andy!"
"You did once,"
"Things change don't that," I replied, loading the gun.
"What will Danni think if you do this?"
"I don't care what she thinks-"
"Yes you do Beatrice or you wouldn't be doing this,"
"What the fuck would you know?" I asked, pointing the gun at her.
"I know that deep down you love her and that scares you because you don't want to treat her the way that dad treated you, or the way you treated me," I felt something tick again.
"Get up boy!" Dad yelled, kicking me in the stomach.
"I can't," I cried, feeling my body hurt. He squatted down beside me.
"Be a man Beatrice! Don't be fucking weak! Get up and fight," he spat, pushing me backwards.
"What happens if I want to be weak too?" I asked, lookign into his stone cold eyes.
"Men can't be weak Beatrice. We need to be strong. We need to be fearless,"
"But I'm scared,"
"Don't be scared, now get up and fight," I took a big breath, before getting up and standing my ground.
"That's it! Now take everything and don't let it affect you this time," I nodded my head and let him fight me. I want to be like him. Strong and fearless.
"But you know that you ruined that because you did exactly that and worse. You stooped down to the level of our father and didn't bother to see how hurt she was,"
"Tell me this," I breathed.
"Do you love her," I watched her face change for a second before she went back to stone cold Andy.
"That doesn't matter-"
"Answer me!" I yelled, holding the gun up again.
"No,"
"But you like her?"
"Yes,"
"You know that turning into him scares you. You know that showing you love Danni scares you because it makes you vulnerable. It's okay to be vulnerable,"
"Like you can talk," I laughed, my hands shaking on the gun.
"Do this for yourself Beatrice and put the gun down,"
"You took football away from me,"
"I didn't Beatrice!"
"Yes you did!" '
"I did it because fucking coach asked me too! He said you were getting slack! And he wanted me to make you work harder!"
"You're lying!" I laughed, holding the trigger.
"If I'm lying then why did you get scouted for university and not me?"
"You're lying," I breathed feeling the adrenaline pulse though my veins.
"If I was lying wouldn't you have shot me already?" I couldn't take this anymore. I fired the gun and shot it. The sound echoed throughout the room. She screamed in pain when it planted into her stomach.
"Fuck!" She screamed, blood seeping out of her.
"That's for making Danni fall for you," I spat before hitting her across the face one last time and leaving the room. I opened the door and spotted Denise.
"She's all yours,"
"Get the girl," she smiled, walking into the room. Time for you to have a broken heart Danni and to see what it feels like to see someone you love go.
