"Sissy where are you?" He called, walking around the living room. I was curled up in the fireplace hoping he didn't find me. I didn't mean to break his toy car. I accidentally stepped on it and it broke.

"You're going to pay," he laughed, lifting the cushions off the couch. I didn't know what I'd do if he found me. He held a knife in his hand. I tried to move further into the fireplace but it made a big sound. He looked directly at me and ran over.

"There you are!" He yelled, pulling me out.

"Stop! I'm sorry!" I yelled, kicking him with my legs. He laid on top of me, the knife secure in his hands.

"Not this time!" He yelled, letting the knife sink into my chest. I cried in pain.

"What's going on?" Mum asked, running into the room.

"Mummy Andy slipped over the mat and fell on the knife," Beatrice pretended to cry.

"Quick let's get you some help!" Mum panicked, kneeling beside me. I looked into his eyes that held nothing but hatred.

I traced the mark on my chest, remembering what he had done to me when we were seven. He missed all my vital organs but it was still a deep wound. The amount of hatred that I have for him can't be described. He ruined my childhood. He is ruining Danni's life. He needs to be put away. I don't know how much more strength I have to not hurt him for hurting Danni. I knew if I saw him I'd have to let go because he shouldn't do the things he does to her. I slipped a white shirt on and some black ripped jean shorts and my boots before heading out. Carla had messaged me and asked me to come over. I got onto my motorbike and slipped my helmet on. I revved it up and started driving towards her house. I could feel the wind against my bare arms and legs. I drove slowly, taking note of all the houses in the neighborhood. Snotty assholes. I turned down her street and pulled up to her house. I parked the bike and slipped my helmet off. When I looked to the door she was standing there in a white cardigan and her white swimsuit. I smirked at her and ruffled my hair on the way.

"Hey," she smiled, pecking me on the lips.

"Hey," I replied, letting myself through the door.

"So how was school?" She asked, joining me on her back balcony.

"Interesting," I mumbled, remembering the state that Danni was in.

"So in class I saw you getting close to Dannielle. Should I be worried?" She asked, leaning into my side. I let my arm wrap around her, my fingers making small circles against her skin.

"What would there be to be worried about?" I asked looking down at her.

"You just seemed really close,"

"We're not,"

"What are we Andy?" I looked into her cloudy grey eyes and sighed.

"I don't know,"

"Well do you like anyone?" I furrowed my eyebrows at the question.

"No, should I?"

"Well I thought maybe you'd like me,"

"I do Carla, just I don't do relationships,"

"Why's that?" she asked, her finger tracing the lines on my jeans.

"I just never valued them,"

"Would you ever be in a relationship?"

"I don't know," I replied, looking over her pool.

"So we're just sex buddies?" She asked, leaning out of my side.

"I mean I care about you Carla I just can't do relationships, and besides, you could lose your job,"
