MARK
"So how did it go with Amanda last night Mark?"
Felix hands me a cup of coffee before perching on the kitchen counter opposite me. Marzia rolls her eyes from the corner, Felix was a right little gossip queen.
"It went fine, she's a nice girl, very funny and down to earth. Are you guys trying to set us up? Aren't her and Sean a thing?"
Felix goes to open his mouth but Marzia gets in before him, "Amanda and Sean have a lot of things in common and she's good for Sean in terms of having someone to talk to about Signe who isn't biased. I just think they are really good friends Mark, nothing to worry about."
I guess it was good Sean was interacting with the world again after Signe. And if being friends with Amanda got him back to being his old self then none of us could complain, and I couldn't allow myself to be jealous of the two of them.
"If we were trying to set you and Amanda up Mark would you be opposed?" Felix chimes in, a telling smirk on his face.
I shake my head and drink the coffee, I had no problem with people playing matchmaker with my life. Being single was boring and kind of lonely.
Amanda and I were meeting up to grab a bite to eat at lunchtime which Felix and Marzia were unaware of, I kind of wanted to get to know Amanda more before I even thought about making a move on her.
"Babe tell Mark that idea Amanda had earlier this week, about the app."
I glance across at Felix who smiles after being nudged by Marzia.
"What app? Is this your next venture Felix? Wasn't the book enough?" I chuckle, knowing Felix was a money making machine.
"You know how I have a tonne of subscribers and are pretty much the self-proclaimed king of YouTube and people love me? And how everyone wants to be a youtuber nowadays but just can't hack it? Well, it would be a YouTube simulator game where you start with zero subs and views and have to make videos to level up and become a boss youtuber."
I was going to make a snarky comment but it sounded like a genuinely good idea for an app people would actually download and play. Maybe I should employ Amanda on the sly to come up with some money making schemes for me.
"I think you and Amanda should go ahead and make the app, what's the worst thing that can happen, babe?"
Marzia was right, it wouldn't exactly be a disaster. Though before the app could become a thing we still had to discuss the idea of a potential tour between myself, Felix and Sean.
"What about this tour? Is it still going ahead, Felix?"
Felix jumps off the counter and slaps me on the back, "Sean's back on board and since all the promotional stuff is ready, all we need to do is announce it and start selling tickets which shouldn't be too hard considering our fan bases."
So it looked like this tour was happening, we'd be starting in the UK and Ireland before moving to some European dates. And only if those dates went well would we announce further dates in Australia and America. If Dan and Phil could do a worldwide tour then so could the three of us.
AMANDA
I was hanging out with Sean this morning at his place which was a first since he always came to mine. His place was closer to the park where I'd be meeting Mark so that was my excuse, plus I also got to fangirl just standing in his recording space.
"All the candy floss is gone Amanda, I want more," Sean pouts, throwing the empty tub on the floor.
"You ate that pretty fast Sean, damn your sweet tooth. Though don't blame me if your stomach hurts later."
He laughs and throws his arms in the air, "my stomach can handle anything thrown at it."
"Are you looking forward to the tour? Felix kind of has me working on his announcement video."
I stretch out on the sofa using Sean's lap to rest my feet which he didn't seem to mind.
"I guess I'm feeling better about being out in front of that many people each day. I'll probably be nervous the first few shows but so will all of us. Do you know who's bringing who?"
I nod, "well Felix is bringing me along because why the hell not, and I know Mark is bringing Ethan along. Do you want to bring anyone, Sean?"
He bites his lip, "I don't think so, and at least I'll be surrounded by friends. That's if Mark doesn't steal you away from me."
Sitting up I throw my arms around Sean and hug him, "no one's getting in between us. And why would you think Mark would steal me away from you?"
Sean snorts, "Because it's pretty clear after last night that Marzia and Felix are trying to set you up and he asked you to meet him today for lunch, which to me sounds like a date."
I feel my cheeks go red, was this a date? Sean leans over and pats my shoulder, "don't threat Mark's like one big teddy bear. I already ship it."
Okay now I was nervous, I hadn't been on a real one on one date in a really long time. Yes, last night Mark and I managed to capture some moments alone, but it was a group hanging out instead of a date. Usually, I'd have Ashley to talk to about all of this, but we still hadn't spoken so I guess Sean was my new Ashley.
SEAN
Did it bother me that Mark had asked Amanda on a date? Not one little bit, Amanda and I were destined to be really good friends and nothing more. She'd told me about her friend Ashley and I kind of volunteered to be the new Ashley. I couldn't be awkward around couples for the rest of my life, one day I'd move on from Signe but today wasn't that day.
Tell me what kind of videos you'd like to see me make on my YouTube channel!
