Yosano stayed at my house for the night after the incident. While she was sleeping like a baby next to me on my bed, I was wide awake, thinking about the past events. I was glad Akutagawa stood up for my best friend, but the one question I asked myself was why he was always the one causing all the fights. Well, I didn't know the whole story, maybe the guy who tried to hurt Yosano punched Akutagawa first. Either way I'm relieved he was there and took care of him. It almost seems like Akutagawa is provoked to get into every fight.

I turned over to my left side. I could see the starry sky out of my window. Even though the evening was rainy and cloudy, now the night is clear and lightened up by the shining moon. I sighed quietly and started feeling guilty. I should have come with Yosano, then none of that would happen. I slowly closed my eyes and before I realized, I fell into a deep sleep.

When I woke up, Yosano was already downstairs talking with my mum. I came down to the kitchen and was welcomed with a delicious smell of pancakes.

"Classy." I murmured and sat next to Yosano. She gave me a warm smile which I returned with pleasure. My mum placed two plates with a humongous amount of pancakes stacked on top of eachother in front of us.

"You can't say no to some good ol' pancakes, hun." she said and winked at me. I stared at my plate with wide eyes.

"You expect me to eat all of this?" I asked her, laughing.

"To the last crumb." she ordered and took a sip of her coffee.

The day was already coming to an end. Yosano left my house at around 5pm and since then, I've been sorting my room out and getting ready for school. Before I knew, it was almost 11pm and that meant I had to go to sleep soon if I wanted to wake up like a Disney princess - with no eyebags and without looking like a fucking monster.

I was lying on my bed when I heard a quiet knocking on my door.

"Come in." I ordered. I saw my mum wearing her constant worry look on her face.

"You okay?" she asked with a warm voice and then sat on the bed.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Why do you ask?" I replied, confused. She combed her hair with her hand and shook her head.

"Just to be sure." she said. I slowly nodded my head. We stayed in a comfortable silence for a couple of seconds before mum spoke again.

"[Y/N], if this boy ever does something to you..." mum grabbed my hands and looked me in the eyes.

"Mum, you'll be the first one to know if he ever hurts me." I assured her and she looked at me with a surprise.

"What about Yosano?" we both laughed.

"Oh right, I forgot. Well then, you'll be the second one to know." I grinned at her and she replied with a weak smile. Mum kissed me on my forehead and left my room, wishing me sweet dreams. Just mum things, I guess. She'll never get used to the fact I'm 17 years old, not her tiny baby that needs constant care.
