Trent in the Media

All week school had gone smoothly. I had successfully gone about my days, while avoiding Trey and Brendan. I still texted and talked on the phone with both of them at night. We talked about everything and nothing at the same time.

There were times when we'd be in the same room at school and I could feel them watching me carefully, but besides that nothing happened. That was until Friday.

Trent came and stepped in front of me. I tried to step past him but he kept blocking my path. Me, Kayla, and Jasmine looked at each other hoping somebody had a reason for why his ass was doing this.

"Is it a reason to this game?" I asked, amused.

"Damn, straight. Why the hell did I have to find out news about you from them dusty ass niggas that be hoe hopping like they Mickey Mouse?"

"First of all nigga, Mickey is a damn mouse. And second, what news are you talking bout exactly?" I laughed, getting more amused by the second.

"News about Trey and Brandon fighting over ya ass. Damn ma, you got the juice."

There goes my good mood.

"Because it's not that deep," I really didn't want to have this conversation in public.

"Um, yes it is babygirl."

"Don't worry bout it, I know what I'm doing." I was getting uncomfortable.

"I hope so, because I will beat them niggas asses if I need to, for you." He said while throwing air punches.

I laughed, becoming more relaxed.

"Good to know the three of you have my back." I gestured to both the girls standing beside me as well as Trent.

"Bitch you know I have ya back," Jasmine said throwing her arm around my shoulder.

"We can do a lot of damage even though bitches be underestimating these sexy faces," Kayla added in proudly.

I stepped closer to Trent's side and turned to face Kayla and Jasmine, with a fake questioning look. "More damage than Trent?"

They shared a look and then said in unison, "Especially more damage than Trent."

Then the three of us laughed while Trent mocked offense. "I can do way more damage than y'all lil asses."

I threw my arms around his neck while still giggling, "I know you can babes."

He wrapped his arms around my waist, and chuckled, himself.

Then I heard two growls emanate from opposite sides of the hallway. I looked up to see Brendan on the right side and Trey on the left side.

These niggas really growled like they was some damn dogs.

Their gazes were locked on Trent as they gave him a look that said, "Move ya arms or lose em."

As Trent and I broke away quickly I rolled my eyes.

"You niggas are two of the most overprotective and possessive people I've met in my life." Kayla said to Trey and Brendan as she shook her head, and Jasmine nodded her agreement.

"Just protecting what's mine," Brendan snarled as he walked up, Trey beside him.

Trey threw him a glare.

Who said looks couldn't kill?

"You mean what's mine," Trey growled.

"Ok let's not make this a pissing match," Jasmine said getting as aggravated as the rest of us.

"Let's go, Kayla and Jas." I did not want to stay and see how this turned out.

Before I could walk anywhere, Trey bent down and kissed my forehead. "Text me later, ma."

I blushed and before I could respond, Brendan pulled me flush against him, kissed my cheek, and said, "I'll call you later, Angel."

I saw everybody shock at hearing Brendan call me Angel. My face felt hotter than hell could possibly feel.

Both boys growled at the others' actions. I walked away so I couldn't watch it anymore.

"You niggas need to get a fucking grip," I heard Trent yell at them as I walked away.

"That was hot as fuck," Jasmine said walking alongside me, fanning her face.

"Tell me about it," Kayla agreed.

"Let's not start," I pleaded.

I didn't want to think about the negatives only the positives. Like how good their lips felt on me. How I felt tingles all over when Brendan pulled me against him. How I felt treasured when he called me Angel. And how I feel protected by both of them.

Choosing between them is not going to be easy, if possible.

After school, Jas and Kayla came over to my house to get ready for a party that our friend Kyle was having.

Kyle's parents was always out of town on business and he used the opportunities to throw the most lit ass parties.

His house was huge and in a secluded spot so his closest neighbors couldn't hear the noise from the parties.

"Kay, I almost forgot to tell you, I'm not riding with you to the party no more."

My sister Kamille said as she laid across my bed watching me, Jasmine, Kayla get ready.

Kamille was only younger than me by eighteen months so I wasn't really that much older than her, but I was still super overprotective of my little sister.

"Who are you riding with then?" I knew she hated the fact that I was overprotective the way I was. Which is why she rolled her eyes when I asked this.

"Don't worry bout it, I'm catching a ride with Danny." She practically whispered his name. She knew how I felt about her no good ass boyfriend Danny.

I always got a bad vibe from the nigga. His reputation as a hoe didn't help his case any. But Kamille was blindsided by his "charming" ways and handsome face.

"I'm not gon' say shit, just be careful," I said in resignation.

Jasmine, Kayla, and I were putting on our matching black and white polka dot bikinis. We each put on a pair of denim shorts over our bikinis. Kyle had a pool in his backyard which never went without use at these parties.

A car honked from outside and Kamille jumped up and went to my balcony to look out into the front yard. "That's Danny. See y'all at the party." She ran up to me and hugged me before darting out my bedroom door and down the stairs.

I sighed. "I hope she leave his no good ass soon."

My friends laughed at my outburst. "Well damn, tell us how you really feel." Kayla mocked me.

I laughed with them, grabbed my towel, and slipped into my white sandals. "Y'all ready to go fuck some shit up."

I laughed even harder at the 'Hell yeahs' I got from them.
