Chapter 5

Caroline and I were currently sat in the Mystic Grill while she rattled on how we could prank my father.

I mean I would call him dad or something like that but to be honest me and him are not as close as you think. After my mom died he just detached himself from life.

My mom was his everything. She was his light in the darkness. My mother had always radiated happiness.

She died in a car accident since then it's been lonely. For me and dad.

I've adjusted fine without my mother. It's hard but I know I'll survive. Someday I'll see her again but not anytime soon. I don't plan on dying early.

I sat there pretending to listen to Caroline and I felt rude but I just had so much on mind.

She sighed an looked at me.

" You aren't listening to me are you?" she asked. She ran her hands through her silky blonde hair and sighed. She stood up an grabbed her purse.

" You have a lot on your mind right now and I'm getting tired so I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight Clara" Caroline said while she walked away.

I sat there as I sipped on my soda a I thought how messed up my life was.

Was I ever going to get out of this one horse town?

Would my father actually be a father?

Would I ever fall in love like my parents did?

These questions ran through my head as I sat at my booth alone.

I looked around to see Klaus and what I assumed was his brother Kol. I sighed audibly and leaned back in the booth. I got on my phone and got on my Facebook.

I put: Sitting alone in the Mystic Grill. REALLY BORED!!!.

After I did that, I put my phone back in my pocket and sat up.

I walked up to the bar and said hi to Matt.

"Matt, how long do you have until your shift's over?".

"What happened? Caroline leave ya."

I laughed and said," Of course she did."

He winked at me and said he had ten more minutes. I put my hands in the air and laughed.

I danced my way to my seat and had an odd feeling that someone was watching me or more like two sets of eyes watching me.

I turned in my seat and saw the two Mikaelson's watching me.

I waved and smirked as I saw Matt making his way to me.

Matt sat down and I poked him.

"What was that for?"

"Just happy that's all" I said while smiling.

"You know them two are trouble."

" I know Matt, I know."
