Chapter 14

Kol

I gasped as the man drained her body. Her body thumped to the floor and I snarled. I sped to the man and not hesitantly ripped his heart out. I would've tortured him but I had no time for that.

I crouched down to her body and kissed her forehead. I touched her silky red hair and touched her now graying lips. I could no longer hear her beautiful heartbeat. She was gone.

I wasn't sure if I had loved her but I fancied her. I would have probably never have told her that if she was alive right now.

I stood up and threw a vase at the wall. I was furious.

My only friend was now dead. She was the only one who got to know me. The other girls throughout the years threw themselves at me.

They were all fake, mooches, leeches, all alike in a way.

My beautiful Red was gone. The only human being I cared for.

I picked up her now lifeless body and sped to my house. I kicked the door open and took her to the guest bedroom. I gently laid her body down and sat in the chair thinking.

What was I going to do?

I shouldn't have left her house it was all my fault.

"It's not your fault Kol," Rebekah said.

I sped to her and got in her face.

"It is my fault. If I would have gotten there sooner or possibly stayed she wouldn't be dead. So, yes dear sister it is my fault. She's dead Rebekah, the only human I ever cared for. She was so strong, so beautiful, so feisty. I think I loved her," I whispered the last part.

Rebekah looked at me with pain and wrapped me in a hug. I cried on her shoulders and knew for once this is the only time I cried in my thousand years.

"Shh, your okay brother."

She took my hand and led me to my bedroom.

I laid down in my bed an closed my eyes and quickly fell asleep.

I gasped an woke up in an unfamiliar room. I craned my neck and saw Klaus right on the bed next to me.

"You know if it wasn't for me putting that ring on you'd be dead," Klaus said smirking.

I popped my neck and groaned. It hurts to die and then come back from a magical ring.

Klaus then suddenly got in my face and grabbed my chin.

"You will not remember Kol. You will be in love with me for now on. Do you understand?" Klaus said.

"Yes" I said in a trance-like state.

I then smiled at Klaus and kissed him.

"I love you Klaus."

"I love you too sweetheart" klaus said while smiling.

"Well let's go downstairs then, love."

"So we shall, Nik" I said while getting off the bed.

I love him so much.
