Loke was grinning and Lucy just stared in amazement.

"Wow..."

They stepped through the archway, and Lucy looked behind to see the wall reform behind them.

"It's like magic!"

"It is magic my dear girl, and that's just the beginning."

There were people, hustling and bustling about, wearing strange clothes and pointed hats, and children with owls, cats and toads. The nearest shop had a stack of cauldrons outside it, with a sign hanging over them saying "Cauldrons - All sizes - Copper, Brass, Pewter, Silver - Self-Stirring - Collapsible.*"

"I'll need one of those, won't I? I remember the letter saying 'pewter, standard size 2'." Lucy asked Loke.

The man looked over at the young girl and then at the cauldrons.

"You have a very good memory. You'll need one, but we'll need to get you some money first. Don't worry, Gringotts. You won't and can't miss it."

"Gringotts?"

She mentally asked herself why on earth she would have thought wizards would use 'normal people' money.

"A wizarding bank. Run by goblins, the best one around.  You didn't think wizards and witches would use that muggle money did you?"

"Muggles?"

"Normal non-magic folk. Like your dad."

Lucy nodded, collecting all the information she could about the strange new world she was becoming a part of.

"There it is!" The older man gestured to a snowy-white building that towered over the other shops.

"Woah... amazing." Lucy had never seen such a place before. It was very different from those 'muggle' banks she knew of. Standing beside the highly polished bronze doors, was a creature dressed in red and gold, with a swarthy, clever looking face, long fingers, and a pointed beard.

"Is that-?" Lucy was about to ask,

Loke hushed her and nodded.

"Yea, thats a goblin," he whispered as they walked up the white stone steps.

Lucy thought it looked rather similar to the goblins she had seen in picture books. The goblin bowed and they walked inside. They met with another pair of doors, though silver this time round, with words engraved upon them. Lucy read the passage to herself in a hushed whisper. It said;

"ENTER, STRANGER, BUT TAKE HEED OF WHAT AWAITS THE SIN OF GREED, FOR THOSE WHO TAKE, BUT DO NOT EARN, MUST PAY MOST DEARLY IN THEIR TURN, SO IF YOU SEEK BENEATH OUR FLOORS A TREASURE THAT WAS NEVER YOURS, THEIF, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, BEWARE OF FINDING MORE THAN TREASURE THERE.*"

"You'd be crazy to try and rob this bank." Loke told her, as a pair of goblins bowed down to them as they entered a vast marble hall.

There were about 100 more goblins inside, weighing coins, scribbling on scrolls, examining precious stones... there were too many doors for Lucy to count, and yet there were goblins leading people in and out of the doors not looking bedazzled at all.
