Ch. 36 Stuck Here

¤Liam P.O.V.¤

Laura has been gone for quite some time and we've already done our photo shoot. Apparently they backed out on the pictures of all of us.

We went through all our needed rehearsals and New Years past. Laura and I shared that special moment when the clock striked midnight.

Sound check went by really quick and we are at one of the suites looking out and teasing the crowd. We would barely pop our head up and the screams would follow.

I've wanted to go backstage and see Laura, but they refused to let us back there now. We are strictly confined to this suite by Paul on the request of Laura's manager.

I'm still confused on who that is. Apparently Laura fired the original one and then hired a new one like that...

I don't even know.

"Lads?" I call

"What's up Liam," Niall says munching on some crisps.

"Do you have any idea why we have to stay here?" I ask

"Na. All I know is Paul told us to stay in here... and only Zayn could leave." Harry says sitting down.

"Yeah, why does Zayn get to leave?" Louis complains.

"I don't know," I say looking at them.

"Liam?" Niall calls my name quietly

"Yeah, Nialler?" I ask

"Did you tell Laura that your mum and family is coming to the show?"

"Sh-... I forgot to tell her and my phone died."

"Use mine," Niall hands me his phone as I take it.

"Hello?" her voice comes through

"Hey, Lau-"

"Hello?"

"Hey, I have s-"

"I can't hear you."

"Can you hear me now?"

"Hello? Is anyone there?"

"Laura it's Liam, I h-"

"Well then, bye." The phone then beeps and I signals me to leave a voicemail.

"Damn you, Laura. I always fall for that," I laugh. "Um, I'm calling to tell you that my family is coming to the concert. They really want to meet you, but they don't know we're dating yet. I haven't told them... Well, bye."

I end the call and hand Niall his phone back. I sit in the seat and stare blankly at the wall.

My thoughts are racin.

I wonder why Laura's manager is keeping us in here? I mean if she was planning anything couldn't she at least lock us in our dressing room so Niall could stop complaining on there not being any food.

I wonder how I'm going to tell my family about Laura. I could just go and say I want you to meet my girlfriend.

Nah.

How about I just grab her hand and wait for my family to figure it out?

No.

I need to think of something original.

Damn, why do original things have to 've so hard to think up?

Being an international superstar is hard enough. Being a boyfriend is harder though.

I mean you have to think up stuff to satisfy the girlfriend. At least Laura is easy.

She doesn't really care what happens, as long as she with me and isn't forced to eat sea food. She doesn't like it and she's allergic.

I'm glad I've found Laura. I'm glad that she moved here to find Trisha and Anne and that Zayn bumped into her that day.

Without that I wouldn't have found her.

"Liam, it's time for the show to start." Paul informs me and we follow him backstage.

The crowd is already sitting and getting ready for Laura. This is our first concert of the year. What better way to start a new year.

"Laura's about to go on," one of the sound guys say as they ready the audio.

I see a quick glimpse of her and all I get is her hair. She runs away quickly and we all stand off to the side of the stage.

I see my family as well as everyone else's in the front row. I didn't know they were going to be here.

The lights dim and the show starts.
