Ch. 9 Guitar Names

I walk into my flay with all 7 of them following me. I close the door after they walk in and less them down the hall into my music room. I walk into the middle of the room and turn to them. They all stare in awe unable to say a word.

"This is my music room. Recording booth is over there" I point atthe corner with the music room and soundboard. "My wall of guitars" I walk to the wall and puck up the smallest one. "This is Zayn" I say. My aunt grabs Zayn.

"Your first love was this guitar." She say happily.

"And this is Zora, my second guitar. Emily, third; Joshua, fourth; Hope, fifth; Alexander and Alexandria, sixth; Truco, seventh; Jamie, eighth, Cheryl, ninth; Woody and Buzz, tenth; Zander, eleventh; Zalea, twelfth; Zenger, thirteenth; Zalazer, fourteenth; Cameron or Cammie, fifteenth; Aaron, sixteenth; Penny, seventeenth; and last is Gemma, eighteenth. " I turn to Harry, "She's named after your sister," I turn to Anne, "your daughter."

"What's up with all 'Z' names?" Louis asked.

"I loved the letter 'Z', just because its last letter of the alphabet" I say matter-of-factly. "If you want you can grab them. Just be careful, all of them have story behind them."

"So why is this one Alexander and Alexandria?" Niall asked holding up my first double guitar.

"Alexander and Alexandria because in a book he feel in love with a girl named Alexandria. They both loved guitars so he created a double guitar so they could both play at once and never leave eachother's arms." I tell him recalling the book.

"What about Cammie?" Louis asks holding her in his arms.

"Cameron named after a character in a series of spy books. She is a strong girl. I had meet a real girl like her with her exact name and she was also strong. Cammie is the strongest guitar I have. She falls and doesn't break." I tell then.

"What about Zora?" Zayn asked.

"Zora is a movie character I fell in with. She is magnificent, and beautiful. So is the guitar."

"Woody and Buzz?" Liam asks

"Toy Story obviously." I tell Liam dumbfounded.

"Truco?" Harry asks

"I cannot tell you how many times I have lost him. Truco means trick in Spanish. This one is a trickster." I laugh at all the times I've lost him.

"Cheryl?" Anne whispers to my ninth guitar.

"Cheryl is named after my best friends guitar. They are twins only the color if different. My Cheryl is blue while her's is black." I say smiling because of my best friend.

"Emily and Joshua are named after two of my friends. Emily was there when I bought Emily. Josh when I bought Joshua."

"Jamie and Aaron are named after two deceased people. Jamie was one of my best guy friends. Aaron was a dear cousin," I quickly rush to say, "but not on our side Zayn." Before he could jump to conclusions.

"Zalazer is semi named after my friend. His name is Eleazer but I just changed the first letter."

"Zenger, I created that name. I was bored and went to the shop to get a new guitar popped into my head then bought and named him."

"Zalea is named after the flower. Zander is named after my protector. My protector is one of my adult friends. He treats me as his daughter. Zander is bigger than the others so he is the protector."

"Penny is very fragile. She was at a garage sale and I bought her and fixed her. She just never recovered."

"Then there's Hope. I found her in a trashcan. She was so beautiful, yet so ruined. Her color caught my eye. I had never seen a guitar so red. I grabbed her and took her to the store. My boss fixed her up, repaired her, and she came home. My little niece, Hope, fell in love with her. I taught her to play on Hope. Hope is named after my niece and the fact that she was so ruined that when she was fixed she had hope. She has one of my favorite back stories." I day summing up all my guitars' stories.

"I name all my instruments. Even my mic and soundboard." I say to them. I walk to my violin and pick her up. "All of them have stories; pasts, presents, and futures. They all deserve a home where they will be taken care of. Even though they are inanimate objects I treat them like human beings." I put down my violin and walk to my piano and run my fingers over her keys.

"That was very deep. I see why you care for your instruments so much." Liam says in a soft voice walking up to Randy, my cello. Louis walks to my double bass. Harry goes to my sax. Zayn to my clarinet. Niall to my drums. Anne to my bass. And Patty to my soundboard. Patty presses the play button and my voice comes out singing "My World- Avril Lavigne" when I recorded it when I moved into Marcus'. All the boys stop and listen to my voice coming out of the speakers. Anne and Patty look at me with wide eyes. The song ends and the boys' has are hitting the floor.
