It had been 4 years since that frightful day in which Sherlock came face to face with the Doctor and the day Sherlock lost John. John who was happily married to Mary, a sweet innocent woman who was head over heels for John or so he thought.

                                                                                      ****************

Sherlock on the other-hand; had disappeared as the pain of losing John, his John was too much to bare and hadn't been seen since that day on the rooftop. For weeks after following the events of the rooftop Sherlock had thought about visiting John, who at this time was recovering in a hospital as he had become fragile and confused. Sherlock, however could remember everything, everything the Doctor said, the emotions he felt and worst of all the fact that John couldn't remember any of it, despite the whole world taking about. It was one of those John Watson stories where he misses it all again.

However, with the Doctor gone and Sherlock left to pick his broken pieces up and John, who didn't recognise him once again Sherlock was alone. The one man who gave it all to him couldn't remember what they has accomplished together, and for Sherlock that was too much. A broken man who had lost the most important man in his world, the man he loved was gone- so Sherlock disappeared too. A world without John and Sherlock together solving crime was not a world Sherlock wanted to live in.

Although John was happy, his time spent in hospital 4 years ago resulted in him meeting Mary, his future wife. John could only describe her as a elegant, tall blonde woman who always smirked when she found something funny especially when John used his chat up lines when Mary came to visit John in the hospital after her shift as a nurse. Mary had become Johns world and without a doubt John enjoyed every moment of the past 4 years with her as his wife. John couldn't ask for a better life, he had a home, a job and a loving wife but something was missing. An empty thought, a name on the tip of his tongue, a whisper in the wind but John couldn't put his finger on it.
