"Come in," I say to Draco, who left so I could change. "Do you mind zipping me up? I couldn't reach."
"Yeah, no problem." He carefully zips my dress, then turns to me to face him. "Now, tell me. What is a dance?"
"It's much like a ball, but less formal and we danced to faster songs most of the time."
"But what about slow dances?"
"You find your date or someone you like, and the girls," I wrap my arms behind his neck, "do this. And the boys put their hands on the girls' waist." He follows my instructions. "And you just sway to the music."
We dance for a long time, not talking, not kissing, not thinking, just staring into each other's eyes.
"Then what?" Draco says quietly.
"Well, if you really like this person," I slowly take his face in my hands and bring it towards mine. "This can happen." I kiss him slowly, and the minute my lips touch his, all I can think about is him, and how I will always make him happy. Then suddenly, Draco pulls away. "You know Ila, I think I just found my soulmate..." We stare into each other's eyes for a little longer. When Draco remembers something, "I'd better be going, Blaise and Pansy will be getting worried." He waves and leaves me. I stand there, for a solid two minutes before I go to join my friends."Isla! You finally came back. Ronan and Ginny looked for you, but they didn't find you!"
"I'm sure they looked really hard Ronald," I say, rolling my eyes at him. "Did you hear that they passed the Marriage Law? Crazy to think, that by the end of the year we might be married, and have children..."
"I wonder who our soulmates will be?" Ginny ponders quietly. "I hope I know mine."
"I'm sure you will Gin" I assure her.
The train stops, and I head towards Hagrid to help with the first years, as I'm helping a little girl into a boat, someone taps my shoulder.
"Hermione, all of them are in the boats, let's get in ours, besides, I want to talk to you," Draco says in my ear, sending chills down my body. Just hearing him talk makes me want to snog him senseless.
"Lead the way..." I reply.
As he helps me into the boat, I trip, and we end up on top of each other, which isn't helping me stay in control, and he chuckles helping me up.
"Tell me, and be honest." He demands after we settled in for the ride, "Are you a veela Hermione?"
"Um, well," I blush madly, "Yes. I am. And Draco, call me Isla, it is my name after all."Sorry. I have had a lot of family and school struggles since I've last updated. I'm going to try to get more chapters posted soon, but no promises. Super sorry everyone.
