Chapter 7: Childhood Friend

Flashback: 11 years ago
"Yahhh~ y/n~ come back here~" you can hear Taehyung whine as he runs with his little legs to try and tag me.

Turning my head around to see how far Taehyung is, I didn't realize the rock on the floor and made me trip making me fall onto the floor. I begin to cry and tears start falling down from my eyes. Taehyung runs over to me and kneels down to start wiping tears away with his thumbs.

"Aish~ y/n~ you should pay more attention to where you run~" he starts dusting off dirt from my hands and knees. Tears kept falling down from the scratches. I shove Taehyung because of his non-stop bickering.

"YAH! ST-STOP YELLING AT ME..." I say as more tears fall.

"YAH! DONT YELL AT ME BECAUSE IM CARING FOR YOU!" He continues to blow on my wounds to ease the pain.

"YOU'RE LUCKY MY PARENTS STORE IS NEAR HERE. I'LL GO RUN THERE AND GRAB SOME BANDAIDS" he stands up and runs to his parent's store and I continue to cry.

By the time he got back, blood was starting to trickle slowly. Taehyung quickly wiped the blood away with a napkin that had alcohol on it giving me a sting. He proceeds to tape cute, kitty bandages on my wounds. I start to sniffle and look up in his eyes giving him a pouting look.

I hit his arm and he starts rubbing as he gives me a stern look. "WHAT DID I DO TO GET HIT?!?"

I cross my arms and look in the opposite direction of him closing my eyes. "Because... I shouldn't be the only one hurt"

We proceed to playing tag and after awhile as the sun starts going down, we both sat on the swings in silence.

"Hey, y/n..." he begins to say.

I look to my left where he was sitting on the swing, "yeah?"

He looks back at me and says, "I won't be able to be by your side for awhile" he turns back his head to look down on the ground playing with the wood chips on the floor.

"What do you mean Taehyung..." as tears starts to build up in my eyes.

"I'm moving to another area of Daegu and I won't go to school with you anymore and live next door" I can tell he's trying to hold back his own tears by his quivering voice.

"Will we ever see each other again Taehyung..?" Tears starts falling out of my eyes and I look down to cover my face.

"I'm not sure but I promise to make a crane everyday until we do meet again. Can you grant me a wish if we do see each other again?" He looks at me with those gleaming eyes and I can see my own reflection in it.

I let my tears fall, "I'll grant you that wish..."

He gives me his famous smile that forever stays in my mind and since that day of our parting, I cried day after day thinking back of those times he protected me, comforted me and making me laugh. There were moments I will cry and wishing to see him again.

Before I know it...

time passed...

And I finally see him once again...

Back to Present Time
"Y/n...?"

I turn my head to my left to only see a familiar face that I've longed to see.

"T-Taehyung...?" I stutter from his sudden appearance.

I push Jungkook away releasing me from his grip. I look up to him and I watch his eyes studying Taehyung. Taehyung runs up to us with a plastic bag full of food and his smile that I haven't seen in so long. That sunny eye smile that always bring a smile to face no matter what.
