It’s been a month now since I’ve been getting those texts. There’s also three more months of school. Whoever that person is that keeps texting me is a really sick mental person.
“Hey, is everything okay, you’ve been acting weird for like a month. Not trying to be rude.”
“Um nothing, why?”
“Just asking.”
“Okay, well I have to go.” I tear out of the room because lying to Drew isn’t that easy for me. I walk over to Abbey’s house and I just hang out with her for a while.
“So, what’s going on with you and Drew,” Abbey asks.
“Um well, I guess it’s good.”
“You just guess? What is that supposed to mean?”
“I’m not being one hundred percent truthful to him.”
“What did he ask you if you were a virgin,” Abbey asks laughing.
“What, no, and I wouldn’t be lying if I said no.” Abbey rolls her eyes at me.
“Okay, then what are you lying about?”
“Look okay, you have to promise not to tell Drew okay?”
“Okay.”
“For the past month I’ve been getting text messages from this person just totally hating on me you know? Like hateful comments, they’ve told me to go run in front of a bus.”
“Dude, Casey, you should tell him, this is so wrong, I don’t understand why you’re not telling him, then he can protect you.”
“I don’t want him to protect me, he would have a reason for being completely worried about me. Look, okay all I know is a guy from school knows who this person is,” I explain to Abbey.“God Casey, if you know who’s behind this then why aren’t you doing anything about it?”
“I don’t really know who it is.” Then I hear my phone ring. Abbey looks at me confused.
“Are you going to look.” I nod my head at her, I have to look.
Kill yourself or else I’ll do it for you.
I drop my phone and cover my mouth. “ Abbey, I’m scared.”
“Let me see your damn phone!” Abbey takes my phone from the ground and once she reads the message that I got, her jaw dropped right open.
“It’s bad isn’t it?”
“Casey, do something about this!” Part of me wants to tell Drew, but the other part tells me not to tell him because if he gets worried then he’ll get the police involved, then all hell will break lose.
