Drew takes me upstairs and on to his balcony.
"I just want you to know how lucky I feel to have you. You're the most beautiful girl I've met in my whole life, I know it sounds cheesy but I swear to God Casey, God I love you so much and I would do anything for you."
I held his hands and went right up in front of him looking right up into his beautiful hazel eyes. "I can't begin to describe how thankful I am for you to be in my life Drew, and this ring... this ring is beautiful and it's the best gift I'll ever get in my life."
"I'm glad you like it and I'm glad you said yes." I look out and the snow is about two inches deep, Drew and I look at each other and then race down the stairs and run out front and we start throwing snowballs at each other again. I look up at all of the other neighbor's windows and I don't see anyone besides Natalie.
Natalie sees me looking up at her and runs outside. "Casey oh my God I haven't seen you in forever!" She says embracing me.
"I know! So what did you get for Christmas?" I hide my hands behind my back so she can't see what I got yet.
"Eh pretty much crap, I got slippers from my grandma, clothes from my parents, and a snow globe from my brother. What did you get?"
"Well shit now I'm gonna feel bad for telling you what I got."
"Tell me anyways."
"Okay if you say so," I take my hand and put it out in front of Natalie and she looks at me wide eyed and starts screaming.
"Oh my God, he did not! Drew Goods Get your ass over here right now!" Drew comes over and smiles. "You did not propose to Casey!"
"Oh but I did." I start blushing like crazy and I smile so bright.
"Oh my... congrats you guys I'm so happy for you! Did you get anything else?"
"Yeah I got a new phone and a a virtual picture frame," I smile and blush at Drew.
"Wow makes my Christmas seem amazing," she laughs. "Um but yeah Casey, I'm really sorry about everything that's been happening lately to you like you know. Don't worry they'll catch the person that did that."
"Hopefully," I sigh.
"Well if you ever need anything call. I should probably get back inside now because I have to bake cookies with my mom, stupid holiday traditions."
"Well for the record I love making holiday cookies, but have fun with that. Bye."
"Bye bae."
I look over at Drew in the falling snow and he smiles his beautiful smile at me, the same exact smile I wanna wake up to in 40 years. Drew and I have been through everything together, and I don't wanna stop now, I wanna grow up and have a family with him, get married, so many other things.
I hear the sound of sirens in the distance, why should anyone have to put up with anything like that today on Christmas, why?
The sound is creeping me out and it's giving me the chills so Drew and I decide to go back inside.
"Hey Drew and Casey do you guys want to help us make gingerbread cookies?" asks Drew's mom.
"Sure why not?"
We all roll out the dough and cut out the shapes and then we bake them and wait. Drew's parents have Christmas music playing in the other room. It was just Drew and I in the room listening to White Christmas.
"May I have this dance?" he asks
"You may."
Drew and I dance around the kitchen and it feels so right, I want this moment to last right here forever.
After we dance we drink some more hot cocoa and we frost the cookies.
It finally grows dark after a magical day and I'm left with the memory of everything that happened today, everything that had been in my dream for so long and what I have wanted so badly. I keep replaying Drew's proposal in my head. Drew is my fiance, that's amazing, it's beyond words.
I roll over in bed to face Drew and he looks back at me, his hazel eyes piercing through mine.
"How was your day?" Drew asks me.
"It was- I can't even find words for it, it was just beyond any words."
"That was my goal."
"I just, I couldn't believe you proposed to me, I had no clue and I love you so much and I could never ask for a better boyfriend."
"I love you too," he says lovingly.
"Drew, can you sing me a song?"
"Come on," he whines like a little child, "you know how much I suck at singing."
"I don't care," I smile at him.
"Alright if you say so." He starts singing to me and within the first two songs, I'm out.

Ring ring ring ring ring... I hear the sound of the alarm clock going off on Drew's side of the bed and I know it's time to get up for school.
I get up and throw the covers down and then jump on Drew.
"Hey! It's time to get up sleepy pants." I laugh and he gives me a groggy smile back.
We go downstairs and eat breakfast and then get ready for the day. I check to make sure that my ring is on my finger and then I head out the door with Drew.
He opens the car door for me and then he gets in second. We drive all the way to school, instead of taking the bus, and then we hop out of the car. The moment my foot hits the sidewalk everybody looks at me like Holy shit is that really Casey Rae? I see everybody's eyes look down to my ring finger as I keep walking hand in hand with Drew.
Abbey walks up to Drew and I and we start having a normal conversation, until she looks down. "What the hell is this?" she exclaims picking up my left hand.
"Shhh Abbey, why don't you tell the whole school."
She ignores my comment. "Wait wait wait, he proposed to you?"
"Uhhh yeah, on Christmas day," I smile
"Woah you guys are still in highschool and-"
Drew cuts her off, "Age is just a number."
"Yeah yeah I've heard it before. It's pretty but um... You know what I'll talk to you later," Abbey hurries off.
"God she can at least be supportive," I roll my eyes.
"Don't you worry your pretty little mind people throw rocks at things that shine but they can't take what's ours." Drew says quoting the end of my favorite song by Taylor Swift,Ours.
"I know," I reply back.
