Love at First Sight

chapter 13

Finally it's the weekend. I'm starting to think that I should tell Drew about the situation that has been happening, but I don't want him to be scared or over protective.

 Hey bitch your death is coming closer and closer by each day ttyl xoxo.

 I shake my head, then I hear a knock at the front door. I go downstairs and I look out the window and see that it's just Drew.

 "Hey you," he says pecking me on my lips.

 "Hey, I have a question, if someone is texting you and you don't want them to, then what do you do?"

 "Block them, seriously, it's not that hard," he laughs.

 "Um, I don't have a block button."

 "Oh, well have you tried responding to them?"

 "I think I'm scared to, I don't know who it is."

 "I don't know what to tell you babe. Hey not to change the subject or anything but where is your mom right now?"

 "At a friends, why?"

 "Just wondering."

 "Okay," I smile at him.

 "Come upstairs and talk with me." I follow him up my steps and into my room.

 "So?" I say smiling.

 "You know you're really hot."

 "Ha thanks, so are you."

 Drew started kissing me, and then eventually we started making out, and he took his shirt off and he took mine off and it went on from there, long story short , I lost my virginity that day to the hottest guy at our school. I was not about to become pregnant at my age though, so he, well you know the whole drill.

 Afterwards I smile at him and he smiles back.

 "Wow," he says.

 "Wow," I respond back. We just snuggle with each other until we heard the garage door open and we just run downstairs and we go and sit on the couch.

 "Oh hi Drew," says my mom with a smile on her face.

 "Hi ms. Rae."

 "You two behaved while I was gone right?" We both nod our heads at her. "Good, you two aren't like those other teenagers that go out and drink and have sex and that's why I like you guys together."

 "Mom this is getting awkward, um we're leaving."

 "Where are you going?"

 "Bowling," Drew answers for me.

 "Alright you two behave again."

 "Of course Ms. Rae," Drew says all gentleman like."

 We walk out the door. "Okay maybe we're not going to the bowling alley, my mom isn't home, and neither is my brother for the whole day, so do you want to do what we did earlier again?" 

 "Sure I mean you only live once." Drew smirks at me and we go to his house without my mom even knowing that we stayed home and had sex.

 Later that day, we went out for ice cream without any annoying people bothering us this time.

 "I love you so much, like whenever I'm around you, I think of how lucky I am to have you," Drew says taking my hand from across the table.

 "But Im even luckier to have you," I wink at him. We share ice cream together, and then we just walk around the shopping area for a while.

 "Hey, you're mom is going to start worrying if we don't get home."

 "Okay fine, do you know if your mom is back?"

 "Yeah she is, she texted me."

 "Oh okay, you can stay for dinner if you want, we're having salmon and my mom makes it the best way possible, like no joke, it's the most amazing salmon you will ever- I'll shut up now."

 Drew laughs. "I'm sure it's amazing, and to answer your question, I would love to stay for dinner," he smiles at me.

 We drive home and Drew tells his mom about coming over to my house for dinner.

 "Okay, not gonna lie, that was the best salmon I have ever had."

 "Ever?" Drew nods his head yes and then the moment is ruined by another text.

 Better sleep with one eye open tonight, tonight's the night.

 I drop my phone and I start crying because I'm really scared right now, like no joke.

 "Hey hey hey, what's wrong, what happened?"

 "Drew, I can't take this anymore, I'm really scared and I don't know what to do," I cry.

 He picks up my phone and see's what I'm scared of. " Casey Rae, how long has this been happening for?"

 "About a month now," I say choking up.

 "Why didn't you tell me?"

 "Because I was scared, and I didn't want you to be scared!"

 "But babe, I need to protect you."

 "Drew what do I do, they're going to kill me tonight."

 "I'm not going to let that happen, I will stay up all night if I have to"

 "Drew I-" He cuts me off.

"I'm staying with you for the rest of your life okay?" 

 "Okay." I lay down in my bed and Drew sits there too just stroking my hair trying to make me feel more comfortable, but I can't fall asleep  knowing that I could die tonight, or worse that Drew could die taking a bullet for me.

 I wake up hearing the door knob on the front door trying to turn then I hear ramming at the door.

 "Who the hell is it at the door?" I hear my mom say from downstairs.

 "Mom n-" Drew covers my mouth when I try to scream, tears start coming down from my eyes. I hear the front door open and I scream and scream into Drew's palm until I hear a gunshot and somebody's feet hitting the pavement running away. "No!" I bawl my eyes out and yell. I tear away from Drew's grip and  run down the stairs with Drew chasing after me.

 I get to the front door and there I see my mom lying there on the ground motionless all bloody. I cover my mouth and feel for her pulse.

 "She's dead."
