chapter 4

Dewpaws pov~

Squirrel smell filled my nostrils, and i opened my eyes. A squirrel was laying in front of me, it had he smell of oakpaw on it. I smiled as my stomach growled, gobbling it down hungrily. Deerspeckle was sitting near the back sorting herbs, being quiet as usual. I yawned and sat up, expecting a jolt of pain like last night, but nothing came, only a small tingle.

" Hey Deerspeckle can i go outside? My injury dosent hurt"

I asked hopefully.

"let me check you first"

She came over and looked at my wound. She placed her paw on my side, then pushed some at the scratch.

"does that hurt much?"

"no not really"

She pushed a little harder and i winced at the pain

"I can see that hurt, but your much better then i thought. You can go outside but stay in camp and dont be to rough"

"Ok ok i know"

I flicked my tail in farewell and jumped out of the den. I saw eaglekit and breezekit play fighting in the clearing, there mother willowstorm sat talking with hollyblossom. Hollyblossoms stomach was hudge with kits. It wouldent be long before her kits came.

The entrance to the camp rustled, and snowblaze boudedin, soon followed ny oakpaw. I looked at him friendly, but all he gave me was an stern look. My til drooped n confusion as he stood beside snowblaze

"WE FOUND A TUNNLE THAT LEADS RIGHT TO MISTCLANS TERRITORY"

snowblaze called. Loststar limped out of his den, and was followed by featherwhisker. He sat in front of snowblaze as she explained her and oakpaws jernay. I sat down and listened sadly.Now i wouldent be eval tk go there anymore. Id probably never se- my thoughts were cough of as loststar led snowblaze into his den, and oakpaw bounded up to me with eyes light with anger. "We need to talk, meet me outside"

I followed him until he stoped. I was still worried i get in trouble for going outside of camp, but oakpaw seemed blazeing. As i stoped behind him, he wiped around tail lashing

"How could you!?!"

I was taken back by the hate in his voice

'W..what?"

"you kept the caves a secret!"

"what i never knew about that tunnle!"

I lied

"dont lie to me i found some of your fur down there!"

"i..i"

"why? Why would you do this?"

His voice lowered

" becouse i knew if you knew about the tunnles youd use them aginst mitclan"

"OH and mistclan just cant be hurt becouse of your little tom friend!"

I was taken back, what did he mean by tom friend

"what are you talking about?"

"IM TALKING ABOUT YOU BEING SO STUPID!"

i was to shocked by his harsh words to replie

"HOW COULD YOU BE SO DISSLOYAL TO YOUR CLAN! hasent liveing here tought you anything about loyalty?!?"

I got angry at his words

"HOW DARE YOU CALL ME DISSLOYAL! Iv always been loyal to leafclan and always will!"

"oh really loyal! YOUR NOT AT ALL LOYAL! NO LOYAL CAT WOULD MEET A TOM FROM ANOTHER CLAN! YOUR SO BIRD BRAIND TO THINK YOUR LOYAL!"

silence followed his yowl. And i finally spoke in a broken voice

"how could you think.... that id ever meet a mistclan cat in secret? Do you really not trust me? I guess am bird brained, bird brained to ever think that you cold be a true friend. If you think id meet a mistclan cat like that, then you must know me less than i thought!" I ran off into the forest as fast as i ccould. I cant belive oakpaw would accuse me of that, accuse me of being diss loyal. I only ever went there becouse of the river, it was peacefull, and always calming. But now this peacefull place will be rembered as a victory to beating mistclan..
