I See Fire - Ed Sheeran

A week later, a select few people were out killing off some walkers that came up to the porch of the house, recruiting back into the living room where everyone else stood once the walkers were taken care of. Cecilia and Daryl were two of the people that were outside, and came in to hear the middle of a conversation.

"There are too many walkers to fight. A little group like us fighting against the rest of the population? That's setting us up to die. We're like pigs for slaughter." Andrea stated her point, to which a couple actually agreed, Cecilia furrowing her brows.

"I don't understand some of you guys sometimes." She shook her head and folding her arms, standing beside Daryl in the doorway.

"Wha' ya mean?" Shane questioned, Cecilia glancing between the group members as she spoke.

"Some of you are so pessimistic. You think killing yourself would be a blessing." She stated, Andrea stepping forward.

"The world's gone to shit. Can you blame us?" She said with an attitude.

"Then why are you still here?" Cecilia shot back, Andrea's face the perfect representation of being offended.

"Excuse me?" She scoffed, Cecilia stepping further towards her.

"The apocalypse happened over a month ago. You lost your home, your friends, your family. You're holding on for something." Cecilia said bluntly, Andrea taken aback by how forward Cecilia was being.

Silence.

"We live in a world now where if you think positively, you are weak. Anyone that has the slightest bit of hope, can't face reality. Yes they can. We can. If you can't do it for you, think about the people you've lost. Don't you want to keep fighting for them? Don't they put that bit of fire in your stomach?" Cecilia spoke to everyone in the group, who still seemed to appear disheartened.

"They're gone." Andrea added again, Cecilia sighing.

"I know they are, but wouldn't they be pushing you on if they were here?" Cecilia tried to convince them as best as she could to keep them going, which was proven to be quite difficult.

"Rick, if Carl turned to you and told you he wanted to be a sheriff when he grows up, would you shoot his dream down by saying that he's probably going to die before he gets the chance to, or would you protect him enough so that he has a future?" Cecilia made sure Carl wasn't in the room to hear it, Rick nodding.

"I'd do anything for that little boy." He agreed with her argument.

"Exactly. Why are our deceased families any different? They aren't here, but we are. We can keep going and make them proud." Cecilia left the room, allowing them to decide what they wanted to do with the words she spoke.

She decided to sit outside with Carl, having one of their little chats about the world around them, trying her best to reassure him of what was going on.

Daryl went into the barn to speak to Randall; a boy that was brought back from another group, who knew everything about the farm and the location.

Daryl was trying to kick some sense into him, as he needed to know how many were in Randall's group and where they were, but Daryl wasn't receiving any straight forward answers, by the sounds of it.

Randall got on to talk about all the bad things everyone else in his group did, of course trying to make himself sound like a saint.

"-Real cute girls. The others- they-yknow-made their daddy watch. Didn't even kill em after."
