Please Don't Go - Joel Adams

"Everyone, get up, now!"

Cecilia, Daryl, Rick, Maggie, T-Dog and Carol shot up from their slumbers and out of their cells, clashing into one another as they sprinted out to the courtyard, where the shout of Glenn came from.

Walkers roaming around the courtyard, fresh blood dripping down their chins.

"Who opened the goddamn gate?!" Rick exclaimed, being to stab a few through the chain link fence, the others doing the same.

"Bet it was one of those prisoners." Daryl hissed, Rick looking over to the block where they resided, the two standing outside as they watched the walkers drop to the ground. Rick headed over to them as the others continued to kill the living dead.

Once all of the walkers were taken care of, Rick came back over to the group, who stood in a semi-circle around him.

"They kept going on about all the problems they were having in their block. I told them they could rather stay in that block or get the hell outta here." Rick briefly repeated the conversation, seeking advice for what to do with them.

"Man, I think they should stay. They ain't no threat to us." T-Dog argued against Rick, who looked over to Cecilia.

"What do you think, Cece?" He asked her, Cecilia sighing and running a hand through her hair.

"These guys could rob us blind, or they could potentially help us. You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't. So, I'll leave that decision to the rest of you." Cecilia made her point, which the others understood. Daryl looked down at his feet in thought, the others heading back into the prison. Rick walked off to lock the gate and make sure it was secure, Daryl and Glenn fixing any dents that were made in the chain link fence.

Cecilia went to sit in the courtyard for a little bit, thinking about the prisoners, the walkers, and the group, balancing out on all of the good things that had happened, alongside the bad.

"Hey, Cece, look!" She heard Carl's voice from behind her, turning around to see what he was so buzzed about.

"Ma man, Hershel." She beamed at him, watching as he used his crutches to walk with ease.

"How do I look?" Hershel modelled the crutches for her, Cecilia giggling.

"I think we can all agree, you are an absolute stud, Hershel Greene." Cecilia swooned, the girls, T-Dog and Carl all chuckling. Rick, Daryl, and Glenn were down by the fences bringing wood in to burn the walker bodies, when they noticed Hershel walking, grinning to themselves madly.

"Ready to race?" Carl questioned up to Hershel, Cecilia standing beside him.

"You can be quite funny, y'know that, slim." She flicked his Sheriff's hat, to which he repositioned and grinned up at her, Cecilia smirking down at him.

"Why thank you ma'am." He bowed it down to her, before they went back to looking at Rick, Glenn, and Daryl, to make sure no walkers came out behind them. Cecilia heard a low grumbling noise, however he ignored it, assuming it was T-Dog's empty stomach craving attention. Then, there was shuffling. But the entire group were standing beside or infront of her. She allowed her curiosity to get the better of her, craning her head to look behind her, her eyes widening.

Walkers.

Walkers.

"Walkers!"

Everyone turned around simultaneously, but, as if it were in slow motion, Cecilia and Daryl looked straight at each other, watching the fear grow in both of their eyes.
