Takeover

"Your plan better be good because the security is the mayors office is pretty tough" Grayson stated.
"Oh whatever, numbers beat everything."
"That's true" he agreed "but it's only us, we don't really have high numbers"
"Yes we do" I responded
"We have lots of people itching to get out of that dark corridor, and Fay told us that they want to fight. We are an alliance"
Grayson nodded in agreement.
"So we're really doing this.." he said
"We are."
"Alright let's get going"
He then took my hand and I jumped with surprise. He didn't seem to notice so ignored it myself.
His hand felt rough against my skin, and dry.
But I didn't let go.

He looked at me and I looked back and then he tugged me forwards making me run through the trees, all the way back to the walkway that headed to the mayors office.
When we reached the tree line we hid and looked for anyone suspicious or anyone that could cause a threat.
"I don't see anyone" I said "we should-"
"Wait," Grayson cut me off "there"
Following his words he pointed to a large wagon that was being pulled by 2 large black horses with a mane the mayor had died blue.
In the front of the wagon there were two men in uniform.
"Perfect" I said aloud, ignoring Grayson's confused look and continued watching the wagon.
Behind the two guards were ten people which seemed to be being taken to the building.
I recognized one of the people immediately,
Stoghi! I thought.
The people were from Raesmore!

Then I turned to Grayson who was also studying the wagon as I was.
"Grayson I have a plan"
"Another one" he said jokingly.
"Yes and it's a great one," I responded "Alright, you see that wagon over there?"
"Yes" he said
"Well, those people in the back are from Raesmore, I recognized one"
"Alright" he said following my words.
"Okay so my plan is to bolt towards the wagon, from behind, jump on and take out the guards. Then we'll put on the uniforms and enter the building without being detected.
"I don't need one, I'm supposed to be with them. They think I'm one of them" Grayson said.
"Ugh, just do what I say!" I said pushing him lightly and he laughed.
"Yeah alright, that is a pretty good plan"
I smiled at him and then emphasized the words "Thank you" and I took a bow.

Then Grayson and I waited for the right moment and then bolted out from the trees, charging at the wagon like there was nothing that mattered more.
I breathed evenly as I ran, I pumped my arms and my feet were carefully placed far in front of me.

I ran faster than I ever had before, and Grayson was right beside me. His face was concentrated and sweet.
I suddenly felt a feeling I haven't felt in a long time.
I felt myself drawn to him.
I wanted to be around him and I didn't want him to leave.
What would happen to our relationship after we found my family?
How would he be a part of my life if we lived differently and on the opposite sides of this war?
Did we even have a relationship?
After a second I realized that I had lost my head and Grayson was now far in front of me.
I bolted faster to catch up and made it just as he jumped onto the wagon.

I quickly followed.

Soon there was 12 confused faces looking at Grayson and I.
But I ignored the village people for a bit while I took care of the guards.
The two men stopped the wagon and started to yell at us.
"Who are you kids?" The man with light Blond hair asked but I didn't answer.
Soon Grayson said "MUAH HAHA We are your worst enemy!!" I started to laugh so hard at him and he laughed too. But the guards didn't find him amusing.
"Oh yah?" The one with the light brown hair said "well then.." and he took out his pistol.
I looked at Grayson and mouthed "what do we do?"
Grayson just smiled and didn't move an inch.
"What are you doing boy?" He asked Grayson "Get off this wagon or the two of you will be dead meat!"

"I will not be dead meat!" I yelled and then ducked and moved side to side, confusing him before I kicked his pistol right out of his hand. I then picked it up and handed to Stoghi.
He blinked at me and smiled and I blinked back.
Then the second man pulled out his gun but Grayson had him under control.
I jumped up in the air and kicked the guard backwards as Grayson did the same. I kicked him and punched him until I knocked him out, and then I pushed him off the wagon.
Grayson and I looked at the men together and laughed.
"You kids are dead meat" I mocked, quoting my words.

Grayson smiled at me and I let out a deep breath.
"Okay, so let's strip em down then" I exclaimed and Grayson nodded laughing.
We both took off the guards armour, and thankfully they were wearing clothes underneath.
Then we put the outfit on, over our own clothes.
The armour was matte black and it had many signs and swirls down the arms.
There were black gloves a chest plate with numerous pockets on it, a black long sleeve jacket a belt with hoops for weapons, pants and boots.

When we were both suited up, Grayson hopped back on the wagon and took the reins. I was just about to follow when one of the men woke up.
I instantly kicked him in the head by instinct and he fell back once more.

When I was sure they were both knocked out, I hopped onto the wagon and sat right beside Grayson.
I noticed that he had his pistol so I asked Stoghi to return mine.
He did and we set off to the building.

After a moment I turned back to the village people and said,
"So, these are the people to start our army!" I said and everyone looked surprised.
"You are going to make our village proud!" I chuckled to myself, it sounded good to be the leader.
"We are going to rescue all the people who have been captured in this city and fight for our freedom, can you do that?"
Everyone nodded in agreement and I smiled as wide as I could.

Then I turned back to the front and I watched the horses as they galloped in front of me.

"Were going to get my family back"
I said quietly to Grayson and he turned to me after a hard swing of the reins.

"Yes we are."

Ten people is the start of their army! Also I brought Stoghi back. I didn't mention him for a while, not since the first chapter..
