Chapter 10

As soon as Ray Ray whispered in my ear “Show time”, The lights went out..

Not literally like black out .. no, like-

“Lights, Camera…ACTION!” Mr.Martin yelled out.

“Okay, Roc and Anna..You guys are up. Do good and be yourself!” Pushing them onto stage, he hurried them by.

“You ready babe?” She heard Ray whisper in her ear.

“With you, i am.” She said.

Going into costume, hair and make-up she heard her name being called from the PA.

“Alright, see you on stage..Partner” Ray called out to her and smiled.

Smiling, she looked at her self … Her hair was curled so much it was shorten, she had on a beautiful black glitter swan-like dress and her ballet shoes.

“You ready girl?!” Anita said looking at her through her mirror.

“Yes, i am actually.”

“You kill it okay?”

Laughing, she hugged her best friend and hurried to the other side of the stage.

Coming on stage, everyone clapped for them.

Looking over, she saw her true love..Ray smiling at her.

Then the song started to play.

“How can I love when i’m afraid. To.Fall.” She began the song, faking to fall; he caught her and slowly pull her back.

Dancing along to the song, they moved together.

“One step closeeee..r” Each step, they get closer together.

“I have died everyday waaaiting for you , darling don’t be afraid i have loved you for a thousand years.. i’ll love you for a thousand more…” She sang, coming together they dance.

Then she saw her parents… looking upon her; smiling like they were truly proud of her.

Smiling back, she sang even louder, even better and…. together they shine.

“One step closer…One step closer! I have died everyday waiting for you, Darling don’t be afraid i have loved you for a thousand years..i’ll love you for a thousand more….” Moving faster with the song, their body sway to the music.

Once the instrumental begin, they caught each hand and came together.

Breathing heavy and smiling each other, they stayed quiet.

Dead silence.

Then a standing ovation began.

He suddenly kissed her right in front of everyone, gasping but also more clapping.

Smiling at him, she pointed to her parents .. who were kind of shocked but still proud.

Whispering in her ear, he asked “That’s you’re parents?”

Nodding, she waved.

Grabbing his hand, she pulled him off the stage and in the back.

“OMG, that was amazing. Who knew Ray could catch a girl?” Princeton asked jokily.

“Ha..Ha. Prince, shut up. I just can’t wait ‘till a girl catches you’re eye.”

“I doubt that kid.” He shrugged and left.

“Lesley!” She heard her parents calling out to her.

“Hey you guys! This is Ray..My boyfriend.”

“Boyfriend? Well then, nice to meet you. I see you are a amazing dancer. That was great.” Her dad said.

“Yes it was. Keep it up..Next year with her.”

“Really?! I get to stay?”

Nodding, they hugged her.

Tears running from her eyes, she looked over at Ray.

“Hey…no tears.”

“Happy tears, really.”

Looking deep into her eyes…with everyone staring, he said loud and clear “..I Love You Lesley Woods.”

“And i love you too Ray Ray.”

intertwining their fingers, She smiled at him. “You changed my life..Forever.”
