Chapter 26: We Meet Again

(Gray's POV)

It's been a year since the tragedy and nothing really change.

Well sometimes I would wonder if it's really alright to keep holding this feelings inside me and what if I'll just end up all in vain?

I always doubt and always remember what Shouge said "Please become (y/n)'s source of everything"

My doubt will left in my body every time I remember those words.

After all it's been a year and we don't have any contact to Moonknight.

I know that Moonknight did not disband but became a small guild.

I don't know if Ark already recovered or if (y/n) is already awake from her hibernation.

All I can do is wait for the day that we'll gonna meet again.

I need to ready myself and face her without making a single mistake.

Right now I was just roaming around Magnolia cause I'm bored.

Natsu and the others got a job without even telling me.

That's why I'm alone and bored. Ended up to roam around just to get rid this boredom.

"Mom look at that girl" I heard a little girl's voice.

"Shh don't bother her" She whispered to her daughter.

Because I'm a bit curious to what's happening.

I turned around and saw a girl who was standing on the bridge rail as if she was trying to kill herself.

I was shocked when she suddenly jumped.

Unconsciously, I ran towards the bridge and realized that the river was not too deep for her to kill herself.

I sighed in relief.

"meow........." I heard a cat meowing.

"So she was rescuing a cat. I thought she was trying to get herself killed" I said.

I was smiling to myself when suddenly our eyes met and realized who's the person who jumped on the bridge.

I unconsciously jumped to the bridge and ran towards her.

I was dumbfounded to see her again and especially to this kind of place too.

"Are you okay?" she said while waving her hand in front of my face.

"Y-yeah" I said to her.

She looked at me confused.

"I-I'm trying to help you so let me carry that cat"

'Gray, don't act like your dumb. Face her confidently or else your first impression will end up like I'm a perv.'

She gave me the cat and we went to a warm place.

"Here" I gave her a towel.

She just nod at me.

I know what she was trying to say.

I was looking at her while she was wiping the cat's fur.

"(y/n)" I whispered to myself.

She looked at me and gave me a confused look.
