Cassidy

Me and Ashton sat on the front step of the house and a towel was draped over our shoulders. We may or may not have ran in the house soaking wet and Ashton attacked me and we soaked the couch. And sort of the boys locked us outside... Just saying, may or may not have happened. But between us, it did.

Ashton has humming along to a song and his fingers moved quick as he was mimicking the beat. I reached over and grabbed his arm, turning it over so I can see his wrist. His humming stopped as my fingers traced the slightly faded scars.

"I'm proud of you, Ash. You've been clean for, what? Like six months already?" I smiled. I wish I was as strong as him.

"Six months, yeah. What about you?" He asked reaching out for my arm. Goosebumps ran up my arms as his fingertips traced my scars.

"Three..." I told him biting my lip.

"Three months!? That's amazing Cass. I'm so pro-" He smiled widely but I stopped him.

"Days. Three days, Ashton." I told him and his smiled faded quick.

He didn't say anything and that made me scared. I knew he was upset. I was just a disappointment.

"I'm sorry." I said after a few silent minutes had gone by. I don't know if I was really sorry though.  If I was really sorry I wouldn't have done it in the first place. I was only apologizing because that what you do when you upset someone, right?

"Why?" He asked turning his head back to me and I could see the sadness in his eyes.

"You're upset at me. I don't want you to be."

"Is it because of me? Did you cut because of me!?" He asked, eyes bulging out of his head.

"No! Never..." I shook my head. I felt the tears prick my eyes at the thought of it.

"Then why Cass? Why'd you cut? You were doing so well."

"It doesn't matter anymore." Even though it was still hurting.

"Yes it does. Cassidy, tell me." He said sternly. I didn't want him to worry about me more than he already does. Especially since it did concerned him.

"Have you been on twitter at all recently?" I asked and he shook his head.

"Not much. Why?"

"Nothing. I'm dry. I'm going to go take a nap." I said taking the towel off myself and leaving it on him. I grabbed the key from under the welcome map and unlocked the door running up to Ashton's room.

Ashton

I went inside a few minutes after Cass. I knew chasing after her wasn't going to work. She wanted some time to herself but she's not going to get out of not telling me. I just want to help her. Was that so bad?

When I walked in all the boys were watching a movie so I took a seat between Michael and Calum.

"Hey, do you guys know anything about what's happening on Twitter?" I asked them.

"Like what?" Mike asked, his attention was still glues to the television.

"With Cass."

"You didn't know?" Calum asked sort of shocked.

"Know what?" I became concerned quickly. What didn't I know?

"Well she's been getting a lot of hate. Like it's horrible. Telling her to kill herself, calling her worthless. It's horrible Ashton. I thought you knew what was happening."
