GISSELLE

Two weeks later.

I stepped out of the shower, my hair wet and curly, sticking to my skin. I grabbed my towel and dried my body, then began to dress in my most comfortable clothes.

I slid on an oversized black tee, completely disregarding a bra. It was finally my time to relax and if I wanted to relax bra-less in a black panda tee shirt, then that was what I was going to do. I slid on a fresh pair of Victoria Secret panties and took the towel to to my hair, drying it as best I could.

My curls were tight and they hugged my back so I let them.

I made my way down the stairs, the cool air condition flowing through my damp hair.

Once I make it to the last step, the doorbell rings. I freeze, slightly curious to know who'd be here so early in the day.

Before I can even gather the thought, my legs take me to the front door and I pause before grabbing the knob, and opening it.

A huge smile spreads across my face once I see who it is. I'm kind of taken aback to see him out of his fancy suits and into something more casual. I've only seen him that way twice. Once at his hotel in London and once on the jet back.

He wore a long sleeved, thin white shirt that he'd rolled up to his forearms, revealing his tattoo sleeves that were constantly hidden under his suit. He wore black pants that stopped just above his ankles and a pair of fur, Princetown leather Gucci slippers. He accented himself with a few small gold chains and a matching watch on his wrist.

He was a lovely man and after our first kiss, he was my man.

"You're so beautiful, Gisselle."

I pulled him into a hug, his cologne engulfing me to its fullest extent. I leaned back just slightly to kiss his lush pink lips before hugging him once more.

It had been a long time coming. Our emotions got the best of us in the past and that was the main reason for our clashes. We didn't want to accept the fact that we were drawn to one another; something we both weren't expecting to happen.

We'd argue over the smallest of things in the office and Angel and Carter would laugh because they knew it wasn't over the outside issue, it was our stubbornness agreeing with one another.

Thinking back on it now, I can't help but laugh. As grown as we are, we were acting like we were still in high school.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, his arms still wrapped around my waist. He had a habit of staying close to me.

"What? Is it uncommon for me to come see you?"

I laughed and kissed his cheek.

"Completely common, but I thought you had a meeting today. The one with Olivaran."

He sighed and nuzzled his face into the side of my damp hair before answering.

"I did. I scheduled it to occur before the sun rose because I thought that I could take you out today."

He leaned back to look at me, his deep brown eyes holding my ocean blue ones. I held his face in my mind, optimism apparent.

"That's pretty early."

"Never too early. You know that once it hits midnight, I'm working."
