GISSELLE

I slid on a loose fitting gray spaghetti strapped crop top and gray Nike sweats. I pulled my hair into a messy bun and began to head downstairs. Ashlee still wasn't home from work, so I pretty much had the house to myself.

It was funny because I didn't have any friends to invite over since I didn't get along too well with girls. I didn't have a boyfriend, so that was a no go. It was just Ashlee and I all the time. She was the only best friend I needed and even though she's with Greg, I never end up feeling like the third wheel. He's more like a good friend to me.

I made my way into the kitchen and leaned against the counter, tapping my fingers against it. What to eat? What to eat? I am so hungry, but I really don't feel like going out to pick anything up.

I looked into the freezer and saw the packs of chicken breast lying on top of frozen fruits and vegetables. Guess I'm cooking for dinner.

I pulled them out and began to prepare them for soaking. I never cooked when Mom was alive.. I just sort of watched and ended up learning that way. I don't think it'd come out as good as her's, but it's all I can do.

6:45 pm.

I watched as Ashlee strolled into the door, her long hair hanging in front of her face and her MK bag in hand. She closed and locked the door, and then locked eyes on me in the kitchen. A smile spread across her face as she looked from me to the stove.

"You're cooking?!" she exclaimed, walking over to get a better look.

"I am." I giggled. She stood with her mouth agape before making her way towards the stairs. "Well, I'm taking my shower and then coming back down to see the magic happen. Hurry up, I'm hungry."

I rolled my eyes and smirked as she treaded up the stairs. I still needed to tell her about London..

DOMINICO

I sat at my desk sorting through the stacked papers. I checked the time for what seemed to be every five minutes while waiting for Abigail to get here. I had told her to bring me dinner since I was doing nothing but starving all evening.

I couldn't leave the office. I had things to do.

I checked the time on my watch again. 6:50.

I leaned back in my chair and sighed in frustration. Where is she? It's been two hours!

"Aye, bro, you good?"

I looked up to see Angel entering my office, his hands tucked into his pockets. He leaned against the tall door frame, sensing my aggravation.

"Yeah man, I'm good." I replied, running my hand through my hair.

"You don't seem good. What's up with you?"

I just shook my head. I didn't want to discuss something like this and sound like a baby crying for his mother. I knew Angel was my brother and was only trying to look out for me, but when it came to my pride, that was another story.

"Nah, I'm good, bro."

My brother nodded his head and stood from the doorframe. "You have an assistant for a reason. You two are a team on your branch. Use her, man. She works when you work." with that, he slid his foot and walked out.

I replayed Angel's words over and over, trying to decide if I should take them or not.

Just then, my fingers began to make their way to the keyboard, searching through the employee database..
