Can We Trust You? (Fifth Harmony fanfic)

CHAPTER 22

CAMILA'S POV.

Me, Lauren and Ally searched all around the town and we couldn't find Avery. I was freaking out. Avery's my daughter and I need her! She just misunderstood Dinah. I need to find her! It's almost night and she doesn't have a coat and it's freezing out here. She could get really sick! She could get beaten up, raped or killed or all three! I need to know she's ok. I need my Avery back.

AVERY'S POV.

It's super cold out here and I don't have a coat. I look to the left and watch all the cars passing by. Who would want me? I'm just a big freak who nobody likes. I guess I'll just live out here for a while... I hope Camila and the rest of them don't hate me too much. I hope Riley and Dinah will forgive me sometime in their lives. I walk down the sidewalk shivering. I can't feel my arms or fingers. I decide I would spend the night in the park under one of the trees. I'll be hidden and hopefully a little warmer. I sit down under the tree and look up at the sky still shivering. The stars where all twinkling and it relaxed me to know that my family is looking down on me right now. I started to feel sleepy so I closed my eyes and slipped into a deep sleep.

LAUREN'S POV.

Camz is really freaking out, so Ally and I, but she's taking freaking out to a whole new level. We need to find Avery before she gets Hypothermia or has a seizer or something. It's been 10 hours since anyone has seen her and it's about  2 am and 20 degrees right now. She doesn't have a coat and that makes is a whole lot worse. She's only wearing booty shorts and a softball tournament t-shirt. We've searched almost everywhere and I really don't want to say this but we really need to go home. Ally's eyes are barely open and I'm not awake enough to be driving either. Plus you can barely see anything since it's so dark. Camila is defiantly not going to want to leave the search until morning and I don't either but ewe might have too. I get the guts to tell Camz that we need to continue looking in the morning and turn to her.

"Camila, we aren't going to find her, it's to dark, we have to continue looking in the morning" I said and her eyes widened

"NO! Lolo! We have to keep looking! She could be getting mugged up right now! Please lolo!" She pleaded with tears in her eyes.

I sighed, not wanting to argue with her but I had to.

"Camz, look outside, then look at Ally and then tell me that we are going to be able to find her" I said feeling a lump in my throat at leaving our little Avery in the cold and darkness for a night.

I heard Camila sigh and but her head in her hands.

"Ok lolo... we can continue first thing tomorrow" She said her voice cracking at the end and tears now freely falling from her eyes.

I sighed and drove back to our house. When we got there I carried Ally inside and Camila followed close behind me. We walked inside and were met with a chorus of question ranging from "Did you find her" to "Where the hell is she?" I sighed in defeat.

"We had to stop looking... it's too dark out there and Ally and I were falling asleep" I said tearing up a little bit.

"But we need to find her! She means everything to us!" Madison said tears falling down her cheeks

"I know little one but we physically can't find her at this time of day" I said whipping they tears from her face.

"How about we all sleep down here tonight in case she comes back tonight." Dinah suggested

We all nodded solemnly and Normani and Camz got the blankets out and pillows out. We all got ready for bed and laid down on the blankets set out in the living room. Madison and Riley where snuggled up on the couch, Kat and Quinn were on the floor next to the T.V. Normani, Dinah and Ally where all cuddled up next to the couch and I was on the recliner. After a while I thought everyone was asleep but I heard sniffles coming from the other side of the room. Confused I got up and found Camz laying down next to Quinn and Kat crying silently. My heart broke a little at the sight. I sat down next to her and wrapped my arms around her stroking her hair.

"It's ok Camz... It's ok, I'm here." I whispered repeatedly in her ear until I felt her breathing slow and she breathes become more even and I knew she was asleep. I sat there awhile and thought about Avery and where she is right now until I fell asleep too.

THE NEXT DAY

I woke up and 7:00 and woke Camila and Dinah up since I wanted Ally to sleep and we went out to the car and started driving around. I decided to look at the park so I drove to the park and parked our car, all three of us getting out to look. We decided not to split up and started walking around looking for Avery. After about 30 minutes of walking around I saw someone lying under a tree. Thinking it was Avery I sprinted over to them and knelt down next to the small body. Sure enough it was Avery but she was kind of blue and puffy. Worried I shook her awake.

"Avery? Can you hear me?" I said concerned about her health

"Whhhhooooo arrrrrreeee yyyyyoooouuuu?" She slurred looking at me confused

"It's Lauren! You know me!" I said frantically

"IIII dddooonnn'ttt kkknnnowww yoooouuu" She said with difficulty starting to shiver a bit.

"Come on Avery, we need to get you home" I said pulling her up Dinah and Camz now at my side helping me.

We got her on her feet and started walking but within a couple steps she collapsed and sat on the ground shivering.

"Avery! Come on! We need to get you home!" Dinah said fearful putting out a hand for her to grab

"Whhhhoooo'ssss Avvveerrry?"
