Can We Trust You? (Fifth Harmony fanfic)

CHAPTER 1

MADISON'S POV.

I was sitting in my honors science class, the teacher was talking about the effects of global warming. It wasn't the most interesting topic in the entire world.

"Ok class, what's a positive effect of global warming?" My teacher, Mr. Whethers, asked.

"You can buy some killer beach front property in Alaska" I heard a familiar voice behind me say.

The voice belonged to one of my best friends... Avery... I turned around so I could see her. She had her goofy grin on her face her head tilted a little to her left, arms crossed and feet on the table. I rolled my eyes at her as the class laughed.

"Sure Avery, please feet off the table. Anyone else?" He said looking around the room.

After a few questions were answered I heard the click of a pencil dropping behind me.

"Shiniwitz!" I heard Avery say.

I turned around again to see what was going to happen. Avery being Avery decided that it was a good idea to, instead of getting off the seat and bending over to pick it up , slide off the seat so she was sitting on the floor, put the pencil on the desk and trying to pull herself up. Well, she failed to pull herself up and fell to the floor hitting her head on the floor. I panicked because she could be having a seizer. I ran over to her and looked done at her. She was fine. Her big mischievous green eyes looked up at me amused. I bent over and flicked her on the forehead.

"OW!! Madisonnnnnn!!!!" she whined dragging the n and sitting up.

"Everything ok back there ladies?" Mr. Whethers asked

"Yup! Just a false alarm." I getting up and sitting back down in my seat.

The lesion continued and soon it was lunch. I got my lunch out of my locker and walked to the cafeteria. I sat down next to Quinn and Kat, 2 of my others best friends.

"God Avery had a false alarm again!" I said getting out my sandwich.  

"Hahaha! I'm glad she didn't have another one today" Quinn said

"Wait! she had a seizer today?" I asked surprised

"Yea, this morning she had one after breakfast." Quinn said looking at Kat

"Did you know about this?" I asked Kat

"No... why didn't she tell us?" Kat asked Quinn

"She didn't want to stay at the orphanage, she hates it there." Quinn said taking a bite out of her sandwich.

Before me or Kat could answer Avery and Riley (the last of my best friends) came up to the table skipping hand in hand.

"WHAT IS UP MY PEEPS!" Avery screamed sitting down across from me.

"Avery, come on people are staring now" Kat said

I looked around and sure enough everyone was staring at us. Avery shrugged and started unpacking her lunch.

After lunch we all went to our separate classes and soon the school day was over and we were all walking to the bus that takes us back to the orphanage. Avery suddenly grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. I looked up at her since she is a little taller then me. she looked at me and I saw the fear in her eyes.

"What's wrong?" I asked

"They're telling me that something bad is going to happen" She said

She was talking about the voices in her head. She's schizophrenic and so am I but I take pills that usually make the voices go away. She also takes pills but I guess today she either didn't or they didn't work.

"Its ok I'm right here ok?" I said squeezing her hand.

Quinn looked over at us worriedly and I gave her a thumbs up. She nodded and continued talking to Riley and Kat. We boarded the school bus. We are the oldest in the orphanage so we are the only ones who live there and go to this school. I am really nervous but next year though because once your 15 you have to move to a different orphanage, and Avery and Kat are both 14. I don't know how Avery would do with out us because she is kinda the baby out of the group even if she is the second oldest. I sighed and looked out the window. Soon we got to the orphanage and everyone got out and went inside.
