School ended and as per tradition, Dad, Bella, and I headed to the diner. Burgers were a fan favorite; we all ordered one. The fact that nobody ordered something healthy? Remotely concerning.

Interestingly enough, strangers came by the table trying to instill some weird far off memory as if Bella and I would remember them. We laughed when they left. Honestly, dinner as a family was not too terrible. Dare I say enjoyable.

When we did eventually arrive back home, we headed upstairs intending to do our homework. And while I, who cared about passing class, did my homework; Bella did not. I would blame it on the loud 20-minute phone call she made to our mother. The favoritism to her, shown by our mother, was definitely noticeable. With the call having ended, and me finally being able to concentrate on the work in front of me, I managed to finish the worksheets in about an hour.

The clock on my bedside table showed 11:15, so better than being completely exhausted in the morning, I got ready for bed. Changing into comfortable clothing, I laid down in bed, and my mind wandered to the day. Well, actually the people. Specifically, Alice and Jasper.

Especially Jasper. And while I had just met him, I definitely feel the inklings of a crush starting.

A sound from outside brought me out of my trance. I shut the window and locked it.
