"Ah, I see. May I ask who?" He asked him.
"My little sister..."

Robert looked at his friend, Jonathan Anders.
"Sister? I didn't know you had one..."
"I've kept her a secret. Our father has been trying to find us for years now. She's been through a horrible life and I wanted to start over here. For her sake." Jonathan explained. Rob nodded as he thought for a moment. His best friend of 3 years has mentioned their father before. A cruel man named Jeremy Anders. Jon wanted to start a new life for him and his little sister. A normal life for both of them. For her. He smiled.
"Come live with me and my family. My parents would be very happy and there's plenty of space. Cassy could use a girl, other than mama, to talk to. That way you guys can recover and get started on things. Look for decent jobs. There's plenty to do and the people in this city are all very kind." Jon looked at him and smiled brightly.
"Rob.. Thank you. You don't know how much this means to me. But... What about the hospital bill? I can't afford t-"
"Leave that to me. I'll talk to the boss and we'll work things out." Rob smiled. "Now. May I see her before I head to my office?" Jon nodded and got up.
"Of course. She's in room 166. But she's not very good with new people. Our father abused her pretty badly and then the man he set her up with, Jake Stetson, wasn't any better. I had enough and left."
"You guys didn't deserve that. Well, Mama and Papa will help and I can contact my brother, Ace. He and his boyfriend, Juaquine, can probably help as well."
"Thank you Rob. This means a lot to me. Really."
"You're welcome. I'm always there if a friend needs me." Rob smiled before going into the room. Jon smiled.
In the bed was a girl, who was asleep. She had long brown hair, her face was a bit pale with her bangs to her left side of her face. Rob looked. He thought she was beautiful, despite the bruises and marks on her face. He shook his head out of his thoughts and went to the computer as Jon sat down next to her bed and gently ran his fingers through her hair.
"I never asked. What's her name?"
"Crystal." Jon replied. Rob smiled. That was beautiful..
"That's beautiful. And she's 20 years old?"
"Yes."
"Poor girl... Well. I'll talk to my parents after work and we'll see what we can do. Thank you Jon."
"Thank you Rob." Jon smiled as Rob smiled back and left the room.
