He smiled and left the room.

Crystal opened her eyes and looked around the room. Where was she? The last thing she remembered was feeling really sick and weak before blacking out. She looked over to see her older brother, Jonathan, reading on the chair. She reached out for him
"J-Jon..." She spoke, just barely above a whisper. Jonathan looked at her before gently taking her hand.
"Crystal... You're awake. How are you feeling, sis?"
"I-I don't know... I hurt... And I'm thirsty..." He nodded and gave her some ice water that was already prepared, gently helping her sit up. She smiled a bit weakly and drank a little bit of the water. "Where are we...?"
"At the hospital in New Brewster. A friend of mine works here and he said he will be back to check on you. Don't worry. He can be trusted."
"O-okay..." She nodded and laid back down before the door opened and a man walked in. He was about Jon's height and build with blonde-brown hair that just went past his shoulders and green eyes. She felt her cheeks heat up a bit, but it was unnoticeable from the fever. He was actually really cute.. The man looked at her and gave a soft smile.
"Crystal. I see you're awake. I'm Robert. A doctor here and a very good friend of Jon. He told me about you when I saw him waiting for some results."
"H-hello..." Crystal said softly. He was really kind...
"How are you feeling? Do you have any pain?"
     "M-my head and stomach..."
"I see." He nodded. "Do you mind if I check a few things?" She shook her head a bit and he placed a gentle hand on her forehead. She jumped a bit but relaxed and closed her eyes. "A bit of a fever. Can you try and eat something?"
     "I-I'm not hungry..."
"Okay. Later then. I'm going to check your test results. I'll be back soon." He said softly before leaving the room. She laid back and looked up at the ceiling as Jon gently ran his fingers through her hair.
"Rob is very nice guy. Better than Jake was. He offered that we stay with him and his family until we can get back up."
"You mean... More people...?" She asked a bit frightened.
"Crystal. I promise that no one will hurt you again. Besides... He has a sister named Cassady. Cassy for short. I'm sure you can get along with her. Please sis. There's no need to be afraid."
"Okay... I just don't want to be alone..."
"You won't be. I promise." He smiled and kissed her forehead gently. "Now get some rest." She nodded and slowly fell asleep.
