The words stuck to her ever since. She knew she wasn't alone. She had her brother, who was always there for her. But she knew she couldn't keep her barriers up forever. But she had to for just a little longer.
Rob was in his office at the hospital, checking some recent results. Cassy had told him about Crystal crying the other day and that worried him. She never cried in front of anyone else besides Jon. Was she hurting again or did she really want to leave? The thought of her leaving hurt. They had started to get so close and he didn't want to see her leave. He wanted to hold her. He wanted her to feel safe, secure, and loved. Hell, he loved her! That long, brown hair that blew softly in the wind, when they hung out in the garden. Those deep brown eyes that would light up whenever she saw something she loved.. He sighed softly and put his face in his hands. There was no way she would accept him. He wanted her to open up, yet she was afraid. Of of people.. Afraid of taking a chance.. Afraid to love..
