Chapter 13

      He would keep her safe. No matter what...

      A week went by after that event and Crystal was reading upstairs in her room. Her brother, Jon had found a job at the body shop not far from the hospital. She smiled. She was happy, but she didn't want to leave this house. Not if it meant leaving Rob. She loved him and he loved her. He proved that to her that day they were intimate and she trusted him. For once she actually felt open to someone else, other than her brother. And she was willing to tell him what happened.

      Rob was in his office checking some test results. He couldn't get that day out of his head. Crystal said she loved him and they took things farther. He wanted to ask her to be his girlfriend, but so many questions were in his mind. What if she didn't want to and say that she regretted being intimate with him? How would Jon react? What if he wasn't allowed to be with her if he found out? He sighed and placed his face in his hands. A knock on the door was heard as Ace came in.
     "Rob? What's wrong?" He asked his little brother.
     "I don't know Ace... I have a lot on my mind right now..."
     "About Crystal?" He sat down in the chair next to him and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Did something happen?"
     "Yes.. Last week.. I couldn't control myself. My emotions, my body took over and I told her I love her. I truly do. I've never felt this way about anyone else in my life. I've never wanted another person like I want her. She's perfect to me.. She said she felt the same and I broke. Her eyes showed nothing but the truth in the words she spoke. For once, she wasn't afraid and we took things farther. Yet, I don't feel any regret. I want to be with her, but I'm afraid that she'll reject me and go distant again."

      Ace nodded as he listened to his younger brother rant out his feelings about the brown hair, brown eyed girl and what happened between them. He then smiled and gave his shoulder a soft squeeze.
     "If you don't regret it, then she won't either. If you both want to be with each other, then there's nothing stopping you. I can tell you have strong feelings for her. Much like I do with Juan. And I'm certain Jon won't mind. He trusts you and he's seen the look on your face. I am glad you found someone though. It makes me happy. And I know Cassy, Quin, Mother, and Father will say the same." He smiled softly as Rob looked at him before smiling back.
     "Thank you Ace. I feel so much better telling someone else about this. And my older brother, nonetheless. You're right. I should tell her. I love her and I want to be with her."
     "That's the spirit. Here. I'll take over your shift. Go and talk to her." Ace smiled as he got up. Rob smiled and got up as well before going to the door. "And Rob?" He looked back at him. "Did you two use protection when you did it?" His eyes widened and he slowly shook his head.
     "N-no... Oh god... I-I didn't even think..."
     "Then that leaves one question. Are you willing to take responsibility?" Rob didn't hesitate as he answered.
     "Yes. I am." Ace smiled.
     "Then go." Rob smiled and nodded before leaving the hospital and going back home. If she was pregnant, he wasn't going to leave her alone. He wouldn't allow it.
      When he arrived he saw an unfamiliar car parked in front. Who could that be? His parents were out today and his siblings were all at work as well as Jon, so Crys was the only person in the house. Rob froze as he entered the house and saw a man with familiar hair, much like Jon's. His best friend had told them about him and that he was looking for them.
