Black Lord's Knights

"The what? How did this happened?!" I hissed. "I need to stop them!"

He grab my wrist, it was strong and I couldn't move properly because of his grip.

"You will be in danger, please, don't go." Enso beg. 

I look at him with sharp eyes, baffled by what he just said.

"Wala akong pakialam kung mamatay man ako. Hindi pa rin magbabago ang tingin ko sa'yo bilang isang immortal, taksil at hindi katulad namin."

Enso took a deep breathe and slowly, he let go of his drip. Ramdam ko pa rin ang sakit na dulot ng pagkakahawak niya. Bakas din doon ang pamumula at ang malamig na temperatura ng kaniyang kamay. I never thought I am given the chance to witness his new form.

Far from being who he is. Rather, an immortal creature who's pale as snow with deep almond eyes and cold breathe.

"I didn't asked to be born like this, hindi ko hiniling na maging immortal at hindi ko hiniling na maisilang sa mundong ito kung ganito kasakit ang reyalidad na kinaroroonan ko ngayon. I never thought that lying to be with you would be this hard and painful..."

"You cannot be in love with me, Enso. You are not allowed even by the heavens."

Tears started falling from his eyes, "But I did, I am in love with you and it will not change."

"Don't get your hopes high, I will never turn my back to save a traitor and deceiver like you."

"Wigaredeo!"

Halos hindi ako makahinga ng masilayan ko ang maitim na kalangitan. Halos hindi ko na maaninag pa ang daan pabalik sa akademya dahil sa dilim nito. Sinabayan pa niyon ng malakas at bumubugsong malamig na hangin... ilang segundo pa ang lumipas ay bumagsak ang ulan na may kasabay na kidlat.

"Shereene!"

Hinanap ko ang boses na iyon dahil hindi ko makita kung saan nanggaling. Mas lalong lumakas ang ulan dahilan para mahirapan akong makabalik sa akademya. Sinubukan kong gamitin ang mahikang nagkokontrol sa panahon pero hindi iyon gumana. This is really a dark magic! I can feel the numbness of my hand the moment it touches the black smoke.

"What the hell is this thing? Yelien! Flame!" I shouted their names as I cover my eyes because of the sudden silver dusts. The temperature begun to increase and I can feel the cold in my skin.

"Liam! Yel! Where are you?!"

"We're here!" May isang sumagot mula sa kanluran at ilang sandal pa ay may dilaw na liwanag na lumabas kasabay nu'n ang pagbitiw ko ng salitang latin.

"Darkness, darkness, I will unveil! You are the dare devil! Shine bright and high! Let the shades of color change with in!" I shouted.

The surrounding started to spin and I leave it that way. I control the movement of everything in my head as I let my hand play with the flames of black and white. Unti-unting gumawa ng pigura ang apoy at nakita ko mula roon kung saan sila dumaan at nalaman kong dahilan lamang ang pagdala sa akin ni Enso sa punong iyon. Kaya hindi ko mahanap ang iba kong kasamahan dahil pinalibutan na sila ng mga tauhan ni Black Lord. Nang luminaw ang buong kapaligiran ay nakita ko silang lahat na nakaluhod sa harap ng akademya. They're shivering in cold and their skin is place as snows.

"Let them go!" Wika ko.

"Don't waste your energy to them, Shereene. They cannot hear you, they move in Black Lord's command." Flame answered softly.

"Protect yourself, child. Go," Madam Z said.

"Are you guys losing your mind? I can't leave you all like this. Look at them, they should be studying, hanging out with their friends and attending lectures but because of me... they're sleeping peacefully under this damn black spells! Damn his magic tricks!"

"Where's Grayeh?" I asked.

"No idea, mabilis ang pangyayari at hindi naming namataan kung saan siya pumunta. Hindi ko inaasahan na matapos ang tahimik na buhay na mayroon kami ay mabubulabog lamang ng isang trahedya—" Liam halted because of Flame's words.

"Keep you words straight, Liam." Flame said.

"There's no need of blaming one another, children. I know that this time will come." Napa-iling lamang si Madam Z dahil sa kalagayan nila ngayon.

"I feel so weak... She. I'm sorry I cannot help you right now." Pinilit na ngumiti ni Yel sa akin kahit na siya ay nahihirapan rin. Bihira lamang ang nakakalaban sa itim na mahika at ito ay kung isa kang malakas o may elementong kakayahan bilang wizard o witch.

"Then, survive with me then. All of you." I lock my eyes right in his direction. I can feel his pain just seeing him kneeling down and tied with the evil magic.

"I open the gates of heavens, all the gods and goddesses, let me defeat the evilness of Black Lord! I must act in your command because I have the possession of the rainbow handkerchief, the tree of fate and the snowflake obsidian!"

The sky thundered.

"No, child. You must destroy the snowflake obsidian!" The heavens answered, it echoed all over the place.

"How?!"

"Use every knowledge and strength you have to defeat the darkness surround you, in that way you are able to destroy the snowflake obsidian that is located inside you."

"What? Are you kidding me? I am asking for your help!"

"You are more capable of everything. Trust the faith you have built for yourself and you are able to find the answer you seek."

Hindi ako makapaniwalang iyon lamang ang sagot na matatanggap ko mula sa kalangitan. Kung totoo mang kami ni Flame ang sagot sa lahat papaanong nangyari ang lahat nang ito sa isang iglap lamang?

"Think, think, or else everyone will die in your hands, Shereene." I whisper to myself as my tears begun to fell in my checks.

I tried to remember all the spells I read and every book I memorized to defend and save myself from everything.

And the only thing I remember is the one I did years ago...

Kinuha ko ang panyong palagi kong dala at itinali iyon sa aking braso sabay hampas sa aking birthmark upang gumana ang mahikang gagamitin. Nagsimulang gumawa ng hindi nakaayaayang tunog at galaw ang lupang kinatatayuan ko kasabay ng pagtigil nang ulan, kidlat at unti-unting pagkawala ng itim na usok.

"Let the soul of darkness sleep together with the body of dreadful evilness, let alone the sun bloom together with moon and splashes the warmth of the horizon's wind as it wipe the tragic tears of fear! I, the sun who is destined by the odds of heavens replace this place as sacred!" I shouted with tears, full of power and in pain.

I feel the rushing great amount of energy from the tip of my hair down to my feet as it touches the ground and started shaking heavily... I can feel the shortness of my breathe, the shifting temperature of my body and it almost made me sleepy and before I lost my consciousness I witness their freedom away from the Black Lord's evil magic.

"I'm glad... you guys are fine." I said softly, almost weak and about to faint.

My body aches and in deep pain... I can see the fresh blood rushing in my hands. Then, everything started to spin around and I lost my balanced and hit the ground...

"Shereene!"

His voice... I thought, and everything went black.
