Tree of Fate

"Gurselineca!"

The tree opens into half and a door come out from nowhere. I was surprised that there's something in this tree, I feel curious and unable to utter a single word because of amusement. I realize that the world I am living in full of unknown and known things. It is not secretive rather it's beyond in your own imagination.

"Let's enter, shall we?" Ang kamay nito ay nakahawak sa door knob nang pintuan habang ang isang kamay ay naka-alok sa akin. Ngumiti ako bago tinanggap iyon. Unang beses kong nahawakan ang kamay niya at isa lamang ang masasabi ko, ang kaniyang pulsuhan ay kasing lakas nang kidlat kung tumibok.

"Wow, t-this is amazing!"

Hindi matanggal ang mga mata ko sa itaas na bahagi nang puno dahil sa loob nito ay hindi lamang basta-basta. Mayroong piano, nakasabit na mga paintings, mga luma at bagong libro na nakapatong sa isang maliit na mesa, at ang naka-agaw nang aking atensyon ay ang maliit na kahon na kulay dilaw.

"What's this?" Takhang tanong ko.

"Ah, that's the yellow box. Iyan ang una kong nakita nang pumasok ako dito at masasabi kong tinutupad nito ang mga kahilingan mo."

"Huh? This yellow box... it's here bago mo pa nadiskubre ang lugar na ito?"

Enso nodded, "And this things... hiniling mo rin ba ang mga ito?" Ani ko habang inilibot ang mga sariling mga mata sa paligid.

"Yes, I've been curious about what it feels to have a secret room in this vast land." Ngumiti siya.

"Then, it should not be here." Inilapag ko ang yellow box kung saan ko iyon kinuha. Ngayon, bakas sa kaniyang mukha ang pagtataka dahil sa sinabi ko.

"Bakit? Is there dark magic in that yellow box? May nagmamay-ari ba niyan? I'll return it to the owner, hindi ko man siya kilala ay ibabalik ko---"

"You discover the tree of fate, Enso."

"What?"

"According to the book of heavens, there is three things they bestow in this land. The rainbow handkerchief, the snowflake obsidian, and the tree of fate... in the first place that thing is not supposed to be here or be known by celestial being or a human. It is forbidden in the law of Gods."

"Then, why I am the one who are able to summon this yellow box?"

I sigh, "Iyan ang hindi ko alam. Sa panahon nang pananatili ko rito ay marami na rin akong nalalaman. Mula sa mga nababasang libro mula pa noong panahon nang unang rebulosyon, ang paghaharap nang diablo at anghel. Ang pagbaba nang panginoon nang mga tao at ang kasakimang sumakop sa lupang ito... I read them all including your past... everyone's chapters and hidden truth. I know why you are with Grayeh all the time, Enso."

His face become pale in second, "Shereene, let me explain..."

"No, don't explain. I know you have your reasons and I know that you felt something for me but I will politely turn it down. Forget the emotions you are having for me right now. It's an order."

"Shereene..."

I managed to smile a bit, "You are once a good man, Enso. Why sudden change? Your mother and father are doing great in that foreign land. Why are you here and lied?"

"Why are you asking me questions when you knew it all?"

"That..." Turo ko sa yellow box "Tells me everything right now."

With curious face, hinarap niya ang yellow box at pumunta roon.

"How?" He asks, as if it's impossible.
