Peace

One year later...

"In memory of Enso Laquo, Grayeh Damien, Zaheera Zenger and every souls who have joined the empire of the Gods, you may all rest in peace." The priest said and continued his ritual.

Lahat nang estudyante at mga guro ay puro naka-itim. Ito ang unang ginawa ko matapos kong tapusin ang lahat sa islang iyon. Bumalik sa dati ang lahat. Ang pinagbago lamang ay wala nang masamang bangungot ang bumabagabag sa mga estudyante dahil ginawa ko ang lahat para burahin iyon sa kanilang memorya. Matapos ang seremonyas ay inilibing namin sila kung saan nakalibing ang lahat nang namatay dahil kay Blacuro Lordian. Ang huling hakbang upang opisyal na matapos ang okasyon ay ang aking talumpati.

"Thank you for coming here today, to our teachers and students I appreciate your effort to bid your goodbyes to our fellow celestials. Everything will be normal now and we have nothing to fear. I promise to restore the peace in Wizardy Academy and fulfill your wishes. The land of Magique belong to us and I will protect it at all cost, with all my life and power. I give you my word." I bow and I receive countless of applause.

"You did well. I know it's hard for you." Yelien said. Umupo siya sa aking tabi. Kasalukuyang nasa gazebo para lumanghap nang sariwang hangin. Abala sila Flame at Liam sa pag-o-organize nang opisina ni Madam Z. Magsisilbi lamang iyon na memorya niya at walang maaring pumasok doon. Isa na iyon sa mga restricted area. Lahat nang gustong malaman ng mga estudyante ay dadaan muna sa akin bago sila makapasok sa anumang parte nang gusaling ito.

"I'm glad you're here." I replied. Sumandal ako sa kaniyang balikat at pumikit. "Sa tingin mo ay magkasama na silang lahat ngayon? My mom, yours, Liam and Flame's?"

"I'm sure na magkasama na sila ngayon. Marami na silang sinakripisyo para sa atin. Sa maikling panahon na nakasama natin ang mga magulang natin ay sa tingin ko'y nagampanan na nila ang bawat parte na huhubog sa atin para lumaki nang maayos at kung ano man tayo ngayon..."

I heard her laugh. " Your revenge? Too bad we have been tricked."

"A pretty good one." Sagot ko.

"Life is indeed full of surprises. I am really grateful that you stick next to me. Aren't you sick being with me, a complicated and weird pal?"

I bet she just rolled her eyes. "The head of this academy badmouthing herself? That's not good. But since I'm your bestie I'll go crazy with you. Ayos na?"

"Hmm." Tumango ko.

"Haay, since everything is over. I shall proceed with my wedding, don't I?"

"Ganiyan ka na ba talaga ka-excited na maging asawa ni Liam?"

"Oo!" Mabilis na sagot niya. "I am not capable of liking anyone else except Liam. That man can be a sheep, a total prey but when something happens to me he became the predator. He's either soft or rough. He can be sweet, moody, and crazy at the same time. Well, that's made me fall for him. It's too late for me to let go... I'm bewitched by his charms. I assume that it's same for you and Flame?"

I chuckle. "I think so..."

"Why you sounded not sure?" Aniya na may pagtataka.

"I'm sure about him. I love him. I like him. That fire man is making me more crazy over him, as if he lit the silent ember inside my heart so that I can burn with him."

"You guys should really end up together! Kasi kahit ang mga diyos ay pabor sa inyong dalawa. Nakatakda talaga kayong magmahalan. I remember when you both first saw each other, I can feel the ring of fate."

I open my eyes. "You heard the ring of fate? Only a goddess can hear it."

Yelien shake her head. "No, that's a lie. Any celestial can hear the ring of fate if she/he saw the destined couple matched by the heavens."

"Then, I am really his and he's mine." I smile in relief.

"Of course! So what is stopping you now?"

May punto nga si Yel, ano pa ba ang pumipigil sa akin? Mabuting tao si Flame. Wala akong nakitang mali sa kaniya. He suffered more than I did. He was there for me if I needed him. But, was I fair to him? Am I lacking to be with him? I shook my thoughts away.

"This won't do. I need to see him."

Mabilis na lumapad ang bibig ni Yel dahil sa matamis nitong ngiti. "Nice! Go ahead, rock him roll!"

"Hey!" Hinampas ko siya. Humalakhak lamang si Yel. Umalis ako sa gazebo nang may ngiti sa labi. Bago ko pa malampasan iyon ay nahagip nang aking mga mata ang punong acacia. Madami akong naalala sa maikling sulyap. Napabalik ako sa reyalidad nang narinig ko ang bell, senyales na tapos na ang klase. Magdadapit hapon na at ramdam ko na rin ang katamtamang lamig.

Spring is coming...

"Looking for me?"

His smile made me smile as well. He's not wearing his uniform anymore. I appoint him as a defense teacher, the same with Liam as elemental instructor. Yelien is now my secretary.

And, I become the Head of Wizardy Academy.

"Where have you been? Hindi kita makita mula pa kanina." Lumapit ako sa kaniya at humawak sa kaniyang braso.

"Oh, what's this? You missed me that much? Mag-resign na kaya ako, ano sa tingin mo, Miss Zenger?"

"Let just stay this way." Sabi ko sa mahinang boses. Hindi pinapansin ang mga matang nakatutok sa amin. Napangiti ako nang nagsimulang kumaway si Flame. Nagiging habit na niya talaga ang maging ganito. Masyado na siyang napapamahal sa kaniyang trabaho.

"Don't mind me. Hindi mo ba gusto na ganito ako ka-sweet sa'yo?"

"What are you talking about? Of course, I like it. I mean, it's rare to see you like this." He replied.

"Do you think I'll be a good wife to you?"

"Hey..." He turned to face me, suddenly he pulled me closer. "It's not a good joke, baby."

"I have nothing to fear, Fuego. You lit the fire inside my heart. It's time for you to take the consequence of your action."

"Damn, calling me with that name is making me turned on." He whisper in my ears.

"I'm glad I have that effect on you." I tiptoe to kissed his chin.

"Meet me at my office in tower, Midnight, when the moon is shining on its finest." I winked and left him baffled in the hallway.

I can't believe I just did that.

Hindi ko na maiwasan at mapigilan ang aking sarili. Matagal na akong nagtitimpi. Matagal ko nang binabalewala ang nararamdaman ko sa kaniya. I have been hiding for so long. There's no threat to us now. We are finally able to breathe free. No more sleepless night. No more anxieties. No more training.

We're in peace, finally. Away from darkness and evil.
